Buzzing for him, his had unfair critics last season and year before, he is a warrior, never hides.
Majority of them seemed to have vanished

It’s almost as though he is looking at the other players on the pitch when he has the ball. It’s weird.
With Lamela you always get a bit of rough alongside the smooth. But as long as there is more smooth then the team as a whole greatly benefits. It’s why some love him and others hate him. He’s probably the closest thing to footballing marmite you can get. At the moment he is 90% smooth so we need to ride that Lamela shaped wave as far as we can.he's frustrating to watch for me. he can be fantastic, tho.
Agreed, he's constantly trying to make things happen so when he's off he just loses the ball a lot. With Lamela its more that he gets extra attention during a bad team performance due to the fact that he never hides, and always shows for the ball even when he isn't playing that well. Even during a game where he plays poorly with the ball, he is always aggressive off the ball, and its often proved when he gets subbed off in an attempt to sway the course of the game, and we end up looking worse.
Hope it was just a cramp. What a performance. Absolutely playing like the guy we all thought he could become.
He can just do it all, shoot, dribble, pass, defend. If we can get he and Eriksen in form together the attack is going to be lights out.
cramp in his left calfAny idea what his injury was? Seemed to be his calf and he went back to bench so assuming it's not that bad. Strain or cramp. Easily our best player at the moment.
With Serge/KWP & Rose you can run that out but with Trippier and Davies that team wouldn't work the same.Erisken, Lamela, Dele
No pace but that's certainly our best attack
I'd love to try that.Has to be the first name on the teamsheet at the moment, he's playing out of his skin. I would drop Dele back alongside Wanyama and have Eriksen, Lamela and Lucas supporting Kane. Perfect mix of craft, guile, workrate and pace.
I also think Son gets let off the hook as so many games he pulls a goal out of nowhere and his strengths are more obvious with a silky dribble and curled finish so it's easier to say Lamela's "had a bad game"With Lamela its more that he gets extra attention during a bad team performance due to the fact that he never hides, and always shows for the ball even when he isn't playing that well.
