I'm not saying we were terrible, but I also don't think we deserved a draw. One good chance (Lamela) in 90 minutes. 4-13 in shots. We created nothing apart from Lamelas chance. Sure, it looked decent at times, but what is it worth when you can't create clear cut chances?

There were a couple of times where we should have done better, like Kane and Sissoko in the first half. But the lack of technique and bad decisions making in the final third ruined the day. But there were some positive things aswell, like Sissoko and Winks. Sure, Sissoko should have done better in the first half when he was through, but apart from that he was really good. Winks need to start instead of Dembele. He actually played the ball forward and released it so much faster than Dembele.

Sorry Lamela got caught in possession to many times as he does most times and when he had a chance to score the easdiest of chances he fucked up. Sorry he doesn't do it for me.

Ssshhh. They don't like it when you point this out.

Poch is working miracles to have done what he has done so far on the budget he has.
I said we need wholesale change. It’s not his fault, but it’s not working and it’s not going to either. We won’t get it though, because we won’t spend the money required. We won’t be ruthless with the players who aren’t good enough either. We will plod on and it will be the same next season and the year afterwards.

You know it fucking will.

spot on. it can't continue forever either, sooner or later he's going to get tired of fighting for scraps with one arm tied behind his back. we just look mentally shot and just going through the motions, no idea what's wrong but we've literally gone off a cliff form-wise after that win at united.

I can't understand this thought.
You say we need to get three players out but then say Poch has got them as far as he can?!

How about Poch is given a fresh bunch of players to replace those outgoing and then see?

The core is there, and they will respond to him again, the problem is some of those are lacking the desire and energy they once had. 3 or 4 new additions can change all of that. They will bring new life and energy and we can go again.

These games are highlighting those who we can no longer rely on. Look at Winks when he came on, full of energy and drive. Go get two or three of those players and promote some youth and we can regain some positivity.

It's been said many times before but we really need our new stadium, the players need it, Poch needs it, the fans need it, it can only be frustrating all.

I think you are agreeing with me here - I did say THIS GROUP - it's not a slight on Poch I actually think he has made a bit of a silk purse out of a sow's ear...Trippier, Davies, Dier, Sissoko and Dembele are all miles away from the level we need. Although Sissoko did have a decent game and Dembele was better in the past.

What also interested me was how uncharacteristically slow Moura looked tonight.

Lol some of you lot have no appreciation for a team high on injuries, low on confidence and in a rut.

We were much better than the shite on here. Football isn’t always about beautiful dominating play. It’s about graft and desire and working your way into form and building confidence. We saw that tonight.

But not from our support. Fuck me...

Friday just gone we were 2 points of the top, we weren't and are not in a rut. We just need to take our chances. Agree though that some supporters are quite negative before the game even starts which is baffling.

It this kind of attitude which feeds the whole situation. You think our performance today was acceptable? It was embarrassing at times.

You have to be realistic Man City have spend hundreds of millions of pounds more than us over the last 8 years since we beat them to 4.
Is it really fair to the manager and the players to call them shit and say I don’t care if they leave?

Yeah I know, but changing Manager Won't help. Any other manager will struggle to better what Poch achieves on this budget. That's my point.

Without some of our key players, I thought we gave it a really good go to be honest.

Really thought we had them towards the end, but hey ho.

We had our chances.

Bonus points to Sissoko, Sanchez and Winks (who looked bloody awesome when he came on).

Trippier needs a rest and I'm not sure where Toby and Hugo's heads are at the mo - moments that are sublime and moments that are schoolboy in every game.

Onto the next one.

Must have my spurs tinted glasses on, I thought we looked quite strong tonight

Oh well

Me as well mate. City are a very good team, obviously, but it was a close contest really. Yes they edged us on clear cut chances but we had more periods of momentum, that's a fairly balanced appraisal.

Another silly mistake at the back cost us though, and we have to cut these out or we'll drop more points when we don't totally deserve to.

But for me we looked more arsed tonight which was reassuring.

We needed at least 2-3 new signings in the summer. Instead we got the cream of fuck all, but at least we’ve got a nice new stadiu... oh wait.

Now we go into January, a transfer window where typically not much happens unless you pay stupid money, realistically needing an urgent overhaul of 3-4 positions and more depth in a couple more.

I know you lot are hopelessly optimistic, and I wish I was like the rest of you but when you compound everything - the transfer window cock ups, the stadium cock ups, the lack of new contracts, the champions league capitulation, the World Cup fatigue, the public negativity from the manager, the fact that season ticket holders of several years can no longer be arsed to go...

I can’t help feeling it’s all over. We got painfully close, but we’re too far behind the likes of City and Liverpool now to ever catch up. Not just this season, but in general. This summer was crucial. We fucked it. This is the result.

And yes I know, great start etc etc - doesn’t change the fact we’re playing like a bag of bastards, are miles off the top 3 in terms of quality, and even the manager sounds like he’s had enough.

Fun while it lasted.

A game of two halves, first half we were crap and second half we were much better. A draw would have been a fair result. Great sitter missed by Lamela. Kane stil not firing on all cylinders. Sissoko, another good game for him.

Think the second half performance made some sort of amends for the disaster that was the first half during which we were truly shocking.

But seriously, how many games are we going to through away this season due to individual errors? We don’t seem to be learning at all.

I never called Pochettino shit. I did say I wouldn’t be that against him leaving at this point. How could you?
