Not watched too much of them, but Torreira has been a great signing for them from what I’ve seen.
As good as Jorginho for Chelsea?
Just reading through some of their post and I can feel their hate nourishing me, so much better than when they were claiming this wasn't the biggest game of the season anymore, the rascals.

"They've been full of themselves for a few years now and they've accomplished nothing. They don't realise they're in for a shocking next decade or so with the stadium. Sunday is going to be the start of their drop into the abyss of the bottommost bowels of hell."

I never understand it when fans say this. It won't affect us one bit IMO. Under Levy, long before the stadium was even a thing, we operate the same way, sell to buy etc. It'll be business as usual. Except we can now pay better wages which will help.

Oh, not forgetting the conveyor belt from our academy. We have the best manager possible to get the best from these players.
There is actual a structural misunderstanding of how finance works from those who use this line. Nobody with a financial bone in their body will go along with this stadium sentiment.

Levy and Lewis are property investors first and foremost, Levy actually read Land Economy at Cambridge .
A challenging combination of Law, economics, and their relationship to the built and natural environments are central to Land Economy, along with other areas such as business regulation, the financial aspects of real estate and international development.
The management team have the wealth of experience to see this through without causing undue burden to operating budgets, unlike Arsenal who were run by a very pale and very stale board who didn't have a clue about what they were doing.

this is such a lazy and stupid argument. We haven't got regular champions league football by spending hundreds of millions and now this will have to stop while financing the stadium. We spend nothing anyway, and became champions league regular regardless.

besides the hardest period financially is before and during the stadium build when you have all the costs and none of the additional revenue. Once built, the stadium itself brings in a significant increase in revenue.

the whole "spurs will be in trouble now/the big boys come knocking/Poch to Real/Harry to wherever/etc etc" is like a big comfort blanket to those who got used to us being shit for 20 years and now cannot deal with the fact that we have finally got our shit together.

How times have changed, it used to be just another win for them. Now, it's like they have won the league, the celebrations are a bit much. They did a lap of honour ffs.
