Crazy to think that since Liverpool last played we will have squeezed in 3 matches -and lost two of those - before we both play our PL games on Wednesday.

I feel some perspective is needed. In 2011/12 we had a squad that consisted of King, Walker, Modric, Lennon (on form), Bale, VDV, Adebayor and thought this is the best squad we’ll ever have! It’ll be criminal if we don’t win some silverware. We ended up just missing out on Champs league qualification and I thought we would never see a Spurs team play in that comp ever again.

7 years later later and we are regulars in the CL and have a much better squad and play better football. We now have a great stadium on the way also. My son has been a Spurs fan for 2 years and seen us beat Real Madrid, all the so called top 4 teams, and draw against Barca.

I used to get excited if we could beat Port Vale in extra time at home to get into the quarter final of the carling/coca cola or whatever it was called. This is better than it has been in a long time. There may be some bumps along the way but I think we’re going to be ok.

Games are still coming hard and fast. We need erik and sonny back (not sure what is up with moussa). Next game feels really important. We need those points.

Hopefully the Levy Loverd will now see there end game like we have. Because if they don’t agree then MY GOD ITS NOT ABOUT THE GLORY FOR THEM,,LIKE IT IS FOR TRUE TOOTENHAM FANS LIKE US!!!!!

Ok, this is a very risky response, considering I've only just been released from transfer thread jail.

Firstly, I'm not a FAN, I'm a SUPPORTER. I fucking HATE it when dicks crawl out of the woodwork & proclaim that people are not "TRUE TOTTENHAM FANS LIKE YOU" just because they are able to understand the importance of CL football, and don't constantly go around crying and stomping their feet because they don't have faith in the club owners.

Perhaps some of those "NOT TRUE TOTTENHAM FANS" are just grown up enough to not constantly cry or be abusive about people that HAVE progressed the club to a MUCH HIGHER level than the one they took over.

Are they perfect? NO! Can they be frustrating? YES!

However, for the last 3 seasons, the supporters of at least 17 other PL clubs would fucking LOVE to have been as close to the PL title as we've been, or experienced the successive CL campaigns that came along with that.

Things are not perfect, but you've got absolutely no fucking right whatsoever to insinuate that people with a different opinion to your own are "NOT TRUE FANS".

So, with the greatest of respect (and apologies to the mods & other posters) , FUCK YOU!

Nope.

Bingo!

I know this is just going over old ground as far as this window is concerned but it's 100% true. Poch is happy with the squad and really hasn't been pushing for incomings. He has his extremely optimistic list and is more than aware they were unlikely to be brought in. The thing with the ITK's on here, and the other forums at least is that it comes from various different sources, some pro Levy, some anti Levy, some that have zero interests in the club what so ever. Believe me we all talk behind the scenes and everyone is hearing pretty much exactly the same thing regarding this, and have been for some time. Some of you can bury your heads in the sand and continue to blame Levy(don't get me wrong he has form) but our lack of transfers both now and in the Summer are not down to him. He's for once doing what we have all been asking for, for the last decade and backing the manager. I know, easier to do when he doesn't have to spend any money, but there is money available should Poch want to bolster the squad.

I'm all for having faith in the youth but lets be honest it would be far easier to blood them with real quality around them, rather than having to chuck them all in together when we are injury plagued, and lacking confidence.

Not sure if this should have gone in here, or if some of it should have been posted at all tbh but I'm sick of hearing "this is all Levy's fault" and "poor old Poch having to work on a shoestring" when as things stand it couldn't be further from the truth.

Well that's totally unacceptable from start to finish & I hope the mods come down heavily on you. EVERYTHING wrong with this club is because of Levy, Lewis, his yacht & some paintings. Anything else stated is just bullshit.

If you don’t invest in the squad you end up going backwards that for us means fighting the likes of West Ham, Everton ,Leicester etc for a 6th or 7th place finish. Good luck then trying to charge fans top dollar and selling out the stadium every other week to watch that.

Yet, before big bad Joe & Dr Evil came in (and have apparently refused to spend ever since) , Everton & West Ham were at our level, and finishing 6th or 7th would've a fucking unbelievable season.

9th / mid-table & a decent cup run usually equated to a typical 'Spursy season'. Where are Everton & West Ham now? Along with the likes of Southampton & Villa? (who were also our competitors when we were taken over).

Yet here we are, supposed grown men & women, arguing among eachother because all we're doing as a club is losing regular semi-finals & only qualifying for Champions League football each season.

Shit owners or not, I know which era I'm enjoying supporting this club in more than the other.

Fact is, for me anyway, the next two games are far more important than today's was. After the last 4 horrible matches we really need to get our shit together and focus on playing well.

Poch is exactly the man to ensure this happens and I've no doubt he will, but they'll still be tough games considering who we're missing.

With a fully fit squad I would have had a totally different reaction to losing today but, ye know, reality???

I didn't get to watch the game today as unfortunately I had to go back into hospital but there were a large contingent of Liverpool fans in there and they were celebrating like they had just beaten us. What was the game like? Just seems at this moment in time the curse of the mid 90s is hitting us. Losing Harry, Dele and Sonny is soul destroying.

Firstly we have to remember that we have extensive injury problems and Poch does have his hands tied with his selection ootions.

That in mind I think he got it wrong. 3at the back with Dier in front simply does not work and then add in Skipps who lacks that experience it was asking for trouble. There were no driving force in the team until Lamela and Wanyama came on.

Some people just can't their heads around the fact that Poch rates players like Dier, Davies and Trippier, even though they feel they need to be replaced. So where some of us see us as needing to get a CM now Mousa has gone, others see us needing new full backs, two new CMs and maybe even the often referenced but possibly mythical "Kane backup" who comes in and scores loads despite only being given 5 or so opportunities a season.

Please keep telling us how it is - some of us do listen!

Lloris, Aurier, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Rose, Dier, Winks, Lamela, Eriksen, Lucas, Son

Gazzaniga, Trippier, Davies, Sanchez, Wanyama, Skipp, Llorente

is rather more potent than what we went with today, I feel. Maybe Sissoko and/or an academy AM to take a spot on the bench.

I bet Arsenal, Chelsea and Man U wont be happy with that result.
Not the ones with brains anyway.
They'll have realised we'll now be focusing solely on the league and as we're likely to be out of CL as well after 2 games todays result isnt going to help their top 4 chances.

What a wasted opportunity. With West Ham getting knocked out yesterday, we had a golden opportunity to go all the way :(
