Sarri is a good manager with a good philosophy at a disgusting football club with scum footballers. Chelsea are a disgrace, and I disagree with anybody who hates arsenal more than them.

Post-match with Vincent Kompany

Kompany was asked if he had ever seen a situation like it before when a player refused to go off.

The Belgian laughed and said: "Of course I have never seen it!"

He then joked: "I wish I could do it every now and again as I don't want to get subbed."

His little wink at the end of ET too - proper ****

A vile bunch of mercenaries.

I just don’t get the point in hiring someone like Sarri if you’re not going to support them over a long-term project. Chelsea certainly have the resources to compete at the very top, but just need to fix their squad issues.

Long may their problems continue.

The players should be holding Kepa responsible for ruining their chances of winning that. Caballero has proven he's a good penalty keeper and you should always be thinking about your best chances of winning. Tells you everything that they actually stood by him through that.

Weak from Moss too, he should've told him to go off or show him a card. The fourth official has put his number up.

Not the refs job. On 606 they've just said that the rules state if a player refuses to come off then play continues.

Where was the captain in all of this, he should have been enforcing Sarri's decision, he's there to do all the manager's talking for him, did he even go over to Kepa.

Sarri: it was a misunderstanding.

Sarri only learnt the word "misunderstanding” when his press officer told him it 5 minutes ago.

No, I think azpilicueta was too busy putting pins in a sarri voodoo doll.

I see Sarri is already backing down again - saying it was just a misunderstanding. He thought Kepa had cramps, but realized he was OK when the physio got back to the bench...

What I don't understand is why Sarri couldn't have ordered the official to hold up the board with the numbers on requesting the substitution. When the ref came over and had a chat with Sarri he must have been clarifying with him whether he wanted the substitution to take place, a simple yes or no would have clarified whether it takes place. If Sarri says yes then all the ref has to do is order the player to leave the field as the ref is in charge of what happens on the field, if the keeper still refuses to come off the ref warns him that he will get a red card if he refuses to leave the field, if he still refuses to leave the field the ref produces a red card for dissent and he's off .

Listening to Five Live.

Apparently the law says it's not up to the ref to force the issue, it's entirely down to the player to come off. If he resfuses the game resumes.

I'm afraid this kind of situation is just indicative of the football club, it's ego and its throwaway mentality of its managers.

The players rule that club. They are bigger than the club and that's really sad.

And I fucking LOVE IT.

HORRIFIC FOOTBALL CLUB. NO CLASS.

Caballero has a decent record at pens plus spent a while at city so will know how their players take pens. Deffo would have been a better keeper in that situation
