Surely Kepa told the ref that he was fine to continue; Moss then went over to Sarri and told him that. Only then did Sarri truly lose his temper. It just doesn't add up.

Apparently the law says it's not up to the ref to force the issue, it's entirely down to the player to come off. If he resfuses the game resumes.

You're right. You use all the tools at your disposal. Kepa has effectively lost them that trophy with his selfish antics.

Netherlands did it in the WC 2014 and all handled it professionally. They won the shoot out too. I'd hate to be a manager of that pathetic excuse of a football club.

Not the refs job. On 606 they've just said that the rules state if a player refuses to come off then play continues.

AFAIAC if the fourth official has put the board up the change should have to be made.

One thing's for sure Moss should not have been an errand boy going over to Sarri to ask if he was making the change or not.

Yeah we go one up we should do it for the rest of the game.

Just get the fourth official to come out with a number, player says "nah, you're all right" then put the next number up.
Rinse repeat.

Should be able to waste a good 60 minutes that way if there's no law to stop it.
