Brenda will need to do a Poch and get rid of the trouble makers no matter how good they may be. He has the nucleus of a very good squad once the bad eggs are gone.

Depends how poisoned the well is I suppose.

Having said that given Brentan's ego, he might get on swimmingly with some of them.

Vardy and Schmeichel very happy and proud of themselves until they realise that Rodgers also wont prefer the gameplan to consist of Schmeichel booting it in the general direction of Vardy. Then they'll start moaning again.

Arsenal look the most likely. You don’t think the top 6 is going to remain in place indefinitely, do you?

The top 6 have a gap of 10 points to 7th. Leicester are a further 5 points behind. That's with a lot of the top 6, ourselves included playing some really poor games throughout the season and being ravaged with injuries. Chelsea United and Arsenal have all been average this season too. No chance any team is dropping out unless they have a drastic drop in form next season

Or another team has a drastic upturn in form. It will happen, maybe not next season, maybe not Leicester, but the top 6 wont remain hermetically sealed forever.

I didn't say it would. I said I can't see anyone dropping out next season.

Sure someone might have a worldy season and cause a stir but for someone to drop out and stay out a team is going to have to improve steadily and consistently for the next few years to have the chance to get there and stay there.

i.e it's not gonna happen any time soon, the gap is too big.

If Wolves recruit well this summer and hold on to their best players, I could see them pushing for top six. They've got the money, and their manager seems to know what he's doing.

I agree, and I wouldn't put any money on any of the top 6 changing next season, but I think it's wrong to assume (not saying that's what you're doing) that the top 6 is impervious to change. Other teams will improve, and sometimes the top 6 won't. Leicester, alongside Wolves and maybe even West Ham, are one of the few teams who have the players and the resources to make that leap.

Leicester and Wolves will battle it out for "best of the rest" for the foreseeable but I'd be amazed to see either of them crack the top six next season.

Leicester have a lot of potential to do well. Much better squad than I think a lot of people give them credit for and some highly rated young players knocking about as well. The main problem seems to be similar to the issues that Chelsea are having where there are one or two snakes who have far too much influence at the club and continually put themselves over the team. If he can get them on board then it's a good job, if they take a dislike to him early on it could be a disaster. The trouble is, given his at times unfair reputation for being a bit of a joke, I can't see the likes of Vardy being too keen on him initially. He needs to very quickly work to dispel this reputation he's got and prove that he's the real deal IMO or things could turn sour very quickly

Ranieri team selections were baffling. It was only mater of time before he was let go. I wish parker all the best.

Same here.

I've never rated Ranieri. Lovely guy, but not a top manager in my opinion. And not a good fit for a Fulham side shell-shocked by how badly they'd done in the Premiership under Jokanovic was let go. What I think they needed (and still need) is a good arse-kicker; someone to grab them by the scruff of the neck, slap some sense into them (metaphorically) and if needed, give them the hairdryer treatment. Ranieri is too nice, he's too much of a 'I'm your pal' type for that.

Scotty Parker may well be the right fit, if his coaching style is similar to his playing style: no-nonsense, not the most technical, but always puts in 100% and takes no shit. If he can translate that into his coaching, he may be able to, at the very least, steady the ship and I hope he succeeds.

That said, I think it may be too late for Fulham. 10 points behind with 10 to play? That's a big ask.

Fans of teams like Leicester, Wolves, Everton and, er, West Ham must look and Spurs and think in private 'What a great set up'.

We look at us and moan.

Ranieri was the wrong appointment at the wrong time. I’d imagine that Fulham’s owners were blinded by the Prem title on Ranieris CV.

Too late now, but someone like Allardyce would have been an ideal appointment for Fulham to beat the drop.
