Brent will improve them. Wouldn’t even put it past them to crack the top 6 next season with the players they’ve got.

Brenton returns.

Don't think the timing is that weird. Shit for Celtic and the fans, but another title at Celtic is not going to do anything for his reputation, it would be purely for the actual medal and statistic in the record books. At this point there is a few months to properly assess the players, see who fits with what he wants to do, and get planning for any changes over the summer.

I actually think Leicester is one of the better PL jobs going currently for a manager, so that's probably a factor too in coming in now and not missing out on it. As a starting point you've got a couple of solid PL centre halfs (Evans, Maguire), two attacking fullbacks (Pereira, Chilwell), some decent young midfielders (Choudhury, Ndidi, Tielemans), a trio of young attacking midfielders (Gray, Maddison, Barnes), and Vardy up front. Potential there to work with.

I can see why he wouldn't want to wait until the summer. If Rafa leaves Newcastle then he'd probably get the job instead.

I think Rodgers and Leicester could be a good match. He has accomplished what’s possible with Celtic so now is a good time to leave

Easy to accomplish when you got no competition. Now Gerard is at Rangers and Celtic have some serious competition Brendan leaves. Failure.

Let's face it he was going nowhere with celtic.

Leicester is the right job to take at the moment, good young English players, run well, could threaten the top 6 next season.

Reminds me of spurs a few years back under jol.

BR is a good manager as well, I still think he overachieved with that Liverpool side. Suarez apart it was pretty average.

Holy shit, he's reached ultimate cringe already and he's not even put his coat on the rack yet.

"I'll give my life" - what a fucking twat!

Fuck me Brendan is a cock.

And Leicester players just still seem snakey to me - they always seem to turn it on once they’ve got the manager sacked (Vardy in particular who I noticed scored tonight...).

Is that an actual quote ?
