Well its not ridiculous decision making so far, we are one game away from the champions league final and 3rd in the league.
A signing or two may have helped, or maybe not, all I know is we are one game away from a champions league final and are 3rd....

I hope we continue to make ridiculous decisions in the future.

Just read your post and thought I'd missed the first leg of the semi final. Don't do that to me!

As some of you know I have retired from posting ITK on here, mainly due to some of the cockwombles on here, but with the transfer window thread due to open shortly, I wanted to remind you that this site doesn't run on air.
It costs a lot to run so I thought it timely to remind you to put you hands in your pockets and donate . I for one would have to find something else to do and I'm too old to take up other hobbies.
This window will be busy so let's get some dosh rolling in before Rob announces he's having to shut the site down.

I'm sorry to hear that. Thanks for all the info that you've shared over the years.

I don't really understand whats not to like about Tielemans, my only hope is he has his eyes on a bigger prize.

Like who? Someone we can’t afford? Tielemans seems like one of the best realistic options out there. Would prefer him over Andre Gomes, for example, every day of the week.

I don't know but the fact it sounded like we had everything in place financially for De Jong (according to the player himself) but he felt not ready for the move gives me hope.

Tielemans playing well. Leicester have some good players, Choudhry and Ndidi were dominating Xhaka and Torreira even before the red card

FWIW, JJ just said on twitter that Poch not a fan of Tielemans or Maddison. I'm glad about Maddison but Tielemans looks good but I'm hoping we got for an even better player.

I don't mind Poch not being a fan of Tielemans, I do mind him not being a fan and getting fuck all else in instead though. Considering how long we seem to fuck around in the window for, you'd like to think he'd be a prime option. Is already showing he can do the job in the premiership.

Leicester have a really good spine of players to be honest, if they bring in a couple of good signings then they could be a dark horse again next season.

Personally if the 6 month loan option was on the table, I think it's stupid we didn't take it but I suppose Poch has earn't the trust to do it his way.

Although it looks a strange decision we have to assume that he has better options lined up but with our budget it's hard to see what

I assume we would have forked out for DeJong given his comments. That would have been serious money so I can seenus spending huge on the right money.

I did see the player's comments but still find it hard to believe the club would pay that amount out I'm sure levy would have tried to renegotiate a much lower bid which would have seen the deal fall through but thankfully now we will never know.

we must have got permission to speak to him then and therefore we must have been reasonably far in negotiations. My honest opinion is the money is there for certain players and I'd use the De Jong comments and the signing of Sanchez as examples. The only outlier was the nonsense with Grealish but I attribute that to him being plan B for De Jong and Villa circumstances changing.

I’m going to get shouted down for this as he’s not fancy enough but Kalvin Phillips would be a great addition. No real weaknesses, good tackler and passer, still young, and HG too. Also has a long raking ball into the wings in his locker, plus abyear of Bielsa would have prepared him for Pochettino. With Leeds probably screwing up in the playoffs, he could be a very clever signing and a long term partner for Winks.
