I’m looking forward to seeing how Poch integrates these new players, and hopefully gives a chance to some of the Academy lads who did well pre-season. I was very impressed with Skipp, as well as Parrot and Tanganga in particular, and it would be great if they are developed with the squad and given a chance.

We have real competition in the squad now to maintain our push for trophies for the whole season.

Very good window. I kinda wish we’d got Fernandez as he could be anything (or nothing) and I like those kind of punts.

Right back might be an issue. We’ll see.

COYS!

I think it has been a good window although with the Dybala story there will always be a 'what could have been' in your mind.

I think Eriksen staying beyond end of this month would make it a great window... him signing would be stupendous

First time poster here, incredible window if Eriksen signs on, still a good window if not.
Will donate in Monday (payday), this place has been incredibly funny over the last week or so and appreciate all the hard work that people do to keep this place great.
Now let’s win a trophy, it’s time!!!

Just waiting for a That’s

I think City have the better overall squad, but we’re stronger overall compared to last season and if, for example, Liverpool are beset with the level of injuries we had last season, I don’t think they have the same depth to cope as we could

A little devils advocate opinion here.
Have we improved really our starting line-up here at all

Defense - possibly lot weaker

No real right back, 2 centre halves now a year older that we have probably already seen best of, left back we have actively been trying to flog

Midfield - Stronger

Ndombele for Sissoko should give us better protection, but not sure the marginal gain is that great considering how Sissoko played last season
Does Lo Celso even come in to team, and as a replacement for who ? Winks maybe. Even if he does could take a season at least to adapt to Premier League.

If Eriksen does leave, then would say we are arguably weaker in midfield also, with the team we could put out

Can't see Sessegnon being more than a cup team player.

Absolutely buzzing with this window. Most important thing for me is that Poch was backed.

By all accounts the targets at the start were NDombele, Lo Celso and Sess and we got them. We cannot underestimate how huge this was.

Then to push as far as we could and get as close as we could to a true ‘Marquee’ signing in Dybala. Hats of to Levy for trying. Genuinely. This is more than a ‘we tried but failed’

In my opinion we genuinely have the strength in depth that we so desperately required, and hopefully we keep CE for at least a season.

Thanks to all the ITK’s it’s been emotional but incredible, and I reckon their credibility has gone up a notch, not that it needed to go up a notch.

Cheers all

I'm not happy because we still have eriksen. I want him out because his he's been acting. Lost all respect for him

To bad we didn't go for BF when dybala wasnt possible

Maybe we think we can iron out the problems and go again for Dybala in Jan.

Perhaps, I did say ‘arguably’ quite deliberately :)

We probably don’t have the best squad, but I don’t think player for player there’s not much to choose between the two. They’re stronger at right back granted, but I think we’re superb at every other position. I just don’t see the hole in our squad, and even if Eriksen leaves I’m actually not sure it matters, though of course I’d much prefer he stayed.

Let’s put it this way, all players fit, we could have the following bench:

Gazzaniga, Sanchez, Davies, Sissoko, Dele, Lamela, Lucas

and that’s with no Foyth, Aurier, Dier or Sessegnon even making the squad.

That my friend is astounding depth in quality.

@mattyspurs I think we’re on the same page :)

I’m not sure. The value difference between PD and BF was minimal...but they’re a totally different class of player.

We now have an excellent squad and can see how the pieces knit together.

I’m comfortable with where we’ve landed, with the only obviously holes in the squad now: RB and a long term CB replacement

Another AM would be lovely, but I think we’ve got good players there for now

Defensive midfield is the main one. Rodri and Fernandinho whilst we don't really have anyone but a crocked wanyama

I wouldn't under-estimate how long it might take to get Ndombele and LoCelso singing from the same hymn sheet. If they hit it off right away we could have a brilliant season but I have a few reservations. Fingers crossed though.

though very different players, I quite rate Winks, Dier and have high expectations of Skipp.

Well yes, but players bedding in is surely a necessary by product of signing better players than the ones you have, no?

That's the window done but still time to get a few more signings sorted if we're to make a title push.
Signing Alderweireld, Vertonghen and Eriksen long term would be the final step for this season.
Not saying it will happen mind but I hope after these ambitious signings they will want to stay.

Massive stretch to say we have the best squad in the league. We have a big gap to make upon the two from last year, but of course injuries (or lack of) will play a major factor (usually to our detriment so I’m not holding out much hope with that). Arsenal will be a wild card next year after their summer. Who knows what Chelsea will be like. Man U look the weakest, but do have match winners. Everton have done great business this summer, but look weak at the back.

Who knows what will happen. At least we’ve had a go this year.

No chance. Juventus will definitely sell Dybala this summer. Inter is interested and plan to trade Icardi for him.

We had our chance to close the deal. We just failed to finish it for whatever reason. A bit disappointed.
