Rob - LOL. my eighty something year old mum who lives in NJ became a Spurs fan a few years back due to my semi-obsession. And once i turned her on to SC, she became a big time lurker. She just texted me "DAMN - SC restricted ..... Where should i go?" For her to use the D word and use full capitals is out of character.... I've since called her and she indicated that she hopes you open it up to the poor old folks who never registered.

Should be back to normal now :)

been doing groundwork all day with a bad back - First chance I've had to pop in here

No complaints about this window at all, really good players in and all young enough to be developed in a new project. Shame about Dybala but it's a real sign we are going in the right direction that he wanted us.

Rose is still here which is great, Sess can be integrated without horrible pressure on him and if CE stays with his head right we have a great squad

cheers to A&C , Stoof, Rob and all for the site and a special mention to last nights planespotting thread.... been a long time since I came on here and laughed my arse off for a couple of hours

Missed the whole day got on once at mid day for about 5 mins
Staff went sick and I had to do their work as well as my own :cautious:

First deadline day I have missed in years (n)

At least poch pretty much got who he wanted even in a round about way let's hope it all goes well and all the whiny people can be happy until at least January

Great job @Rob and the gang for keeping the site from going up in a mushroom cloud (y)

At the start of the window the very clear targets were, Ndombele, Lo Celso, and Sessengon. Poch got ALL 3 of his targets, plus an added bonus in the potential of Clarke.

I apologise for this long winded post, but, I've just found myself gradually getting angrier as this window went on; at the ludicrously negative outbursts from some who simply don't have the patience, nor understanding, of how complicated multi-million pound deals can be.

Let's not forget how far Daniel Levy has brought this club in twenty years, and hopefully, the best manager we've had in my lifetime will also appreciate his efforts tonight and feel he is in the right place to take us even further.

Apologies again, COYS (y)

Not sure what you are apologizing about. That's a pretty fair assessment. He has strengths and weaknesses but for the most part, the club is in far better shape today to compete long term even though he sacrificed short term gains like trophies. And while one would have to say he/we were lucky not to get London stadium and to get Poch, it seems that his leadership has improved substantially over the last 5-7 years.

Superb window, we’ve done the best business of any of the top sides by some distance and have been left with arguably the best squad in the league.

We signed our top targets, a strategy as well, 2 ready players , 2 that will hopefully get better and increase massively in value. I thinks we’re being run by professionals. Very happy personally. Fit rested squad, home stadium sorted, what’s not to like. Icing on the cake would be Eriksen signing new contract. COYS.

If all the Dybala stuff didn't happen I think we'd all be chuffed with the way this window has turned out.

Again, I'd say that you're right as long as Eriksen stays.

The general consensus on here only two days ago (when it was presumed he was off to United) was that we needed two in to replace him. If he goes then I don't think anyone will be too chuffed.

Hopefully he stays though - if he does, we now have a seriously strong squad, and maybe we'll go in for Atal/Dybala in January!

I think the best thing about the window is we strengthened and Liverpool didn’t.

Oh, and city signing Scott Carson ?
Sane has also picked up an ACL and nobody in to replace him at City.

If CE stays we've got better depth than any team in the league. Liverpool look a bit light in defence and not too sure about their forward line depth either.

With the business we’ve done I think that we have a great chance to catch Liverpool.

With the amount of key players they had away on International duty this summer and failing to strengthen, I think they will have the same problems we did in the 2nd half of the season.

Did they "fail" at strengthening? Really seems like that weren't much interested in anyone . A case of who can really improve the team.

They're pretty strong all over , we're still lite at RB. Hoping Serge has a Sissoko season though

Are we doing a separate non-ITK postmortem thread or are we free to discuss overall transfer/summer opinions in here now?

As many have said, well happy with the incomings. I'd be more than happy to see Eriksen stay for another season at least, and one of my main wishes...that we have alot more luck on the injury front this season.

I think we should all be happy because we know a world class player is incoming for Eriksen over the next window or two

I think City have the better overall squad, but we’re stronger overall compared to last season and if, for example, Liverpool are beset with the level of injuries we had last season, I don’t think they have the same depth to cope as we could
