Lamela too busy being intense to celebrate our equaliser
The winners here (the minority)
His chronic lack of pace prevents him from being a great player.Personally always feel he is 1/2 a pass away from being a great player..if you get my meaning just never quite manages to squeeze it through ideas are right execution not quite there,

Ironic these “winners” you speak of wouldn’t be celebrating a victory if not for the player you’re criticising.
Think people need to give him time to get going. His incessant press in the final third is critical to our play as can be seen from third goal and his quality will come as he plays more. Played Kane in during 1st half and only player other than Ndombele able to any sort of incisive pass in rye final third during 1st half. Hope he stays injury free and show people how much we missed him last season.

We will see if he survives the new 'tougher Poch' purge.
It’s no surprise to me that Poch is rumoured to love Lamela because his mentality is one of the best we have. He’s a fighter who is ready to do anything or play anywhere for the team.
Regardless of what you think of him as player skill set wise Poch values mentality and work rate above a lot of things. Not saying you can be a shit player and have those qualities and still be in the squad but luckily Lamela brings a lot to the table from a footballing point of view as well.
He’s not good in these matches where a team parks the bus against us and clogs up at the space in front of the defence. He just gets lost.
He’s much better later on when play is broken or when we’re playing a team who comes out against us and leaves space to work in.
Disagree pace isnt everything ! Awareness and speed of thought are is arguably more important which I think he has as previously stated execution is what let's him downHis chronic lack of pace prevents him from being a great player.
