Not posted on here a while but as try not to overreact after defeats but watching that this evening was something else. Just hate watching this team at the moment for so many reasons.

A lifetime of misery supporting Spurs winning practically nothing is bad enough, but have come to accept that over time, it is what it is. I've never known anything different!

Such as it is, I'm one of those fans that as a regular match goer that just desperately wants to see us playing attractive football again, win draw or lose . Not felt like this since the AVB days. Do the right thing Levy, and don't bother waiting for the energy drink cup final

I think that, despite the losses / draws, we have improved over our last few games.

I would place the blame mainly on our weak defence. The midfielders have been working overtime trying to cover for the defence (just look at how knackered hojbjerg has been recently) and because of that, our attack has not been having the supply from the midfield that we should have expected.

We’ve seen how poor some of our senior defenders have been and Toby has to be given match breaks because of his age. I’d rather that we give more playing time to Tanganga & Rodon (if they are fit and available )

I think you just described Jose there... his name is synonymous with soccer but as you rightly pointed out, has to deal with deadwood as well. We're just in a funk right now and I'm counting on Jose to fix it... come end of the season we can revisit this discussion and I'll be happy to discuss viable replacement options if it all goes south...

I really don't think Jose has anyone enjoying their football. World class teams who're loving the game don't shut up shop after going 1-0, they carry on going and blow the other team away. I think playing under Jose is psychologically exhausting and that was the last thing the squad needed after they burnt out under Poch.

Maybe it's not Mourinho or the players. Perhaps we've just run out of luck and are finally playing at the level of our investment. We've been punching above our weight for years.
I was thinking the same, halfway through the match. Watching the likes of Dier, Sanchez, Tanganga, Sissoko, Davies, Lamela, Lucas - not exactly players of top-6 calibre were they?

We need new owners if we are to compete, and do the massive overhaul, we all know is long overdue. TBH, I'd take it now

Nah, Lloris is fine, I doubt we'd be able to afford a significant upgrade if we were to address other pressing priorities first. And you know how it goes, if we truly revamp CB for next season, a side effect might just be that Lloris looks better too. It's amazing what a goalie gets out of playing behind a defence he can have full faith in.
It’s amazing how a defence play better in front of a commanding keeper that they have faith in too

no but all joking aside. The team is giving plenty of reasons for the fan base to be pissed off. Do we want a circle jerk on here?
You will shut up when we win some games ... Why would you shut up then? You're coming across as backwards.

You just had some diatribe at the fact people look down on you because you spend money on stuff but you don't want a circle jerk?

What in fucks name are you going on about? It's utter fucking drivel.

our main issue at the moment is individual mistakes and it undermines everything else

I don't understand why you sneer at your own "brethren" on here so much.

There is a cohort of posters on here who's M.O is to look down on us from their Ivory towers with a " forgive them for they know not what they do" attitude. Like ye all know so much about football and us peasants are just clowns who don't understand why we didn't put the ball in between the posts.

We buy the jerseys, we buy the season tickets, we cop the flak from opposition fans. God forbid we come on here and make a few comments. If the team win a few matches we will shut the fuck up.
shirts, they are football shirts ?

I'd take Lamela and Tanganga out of your list ;), but, yes, we've got a lot of mediocre players these days.

I think this is it. The death knell, not just for Mourinho but also the squad. Or at least a proportion of the squad that just look way out of their depth. We have one of the most impressive infrastructures/ stadium in the world, which cost serious money that there’s just no way what’s currently happening on the field is sustainable. Each season we lose out on Champions League football, the value of the club dips. This is not what Enic have planned for, but letting a squad stagnate to this level is negligent and now it’s biting the club hard.

There has to be a review of the state we’re in, an evaluation of what has gone wrong and what isn’t working, from top to bottom. Enic will have to play the market hard, but also be open minded, willing to shift the sub-par players at lesser rates or we could continue in this cycle for a few more seasons until we’re mid table fodder on a regular basis. Lots to do
