Would probably sub Markanday for Lamela to save Erik for Burnley, he's been really effective today. Maybe Lavinier for Doherty.

Theres definitely a few players here who if they could translate their performances to doing similar vs better opposition could help vastly improve our 2nd half of the season. Dele and Lamela in particular.

Bit one paced at the moment.
Still good enough for this game at the moment, but would love to see Dele, Lamela or Bergwijn just kick it up a few greats at time.

Against this level of opposition. I still think he isn't good enough at the top level.

Injuries have impacted how often he's been able to show his full quality but if you look at how many goals/assists he's had against big teams across the years, you'd see that he's actually an impactful player.

A striker simply can’t afford to favour one foot that much, Vini.
To me I don't care if the weak foot is all that weak, it's that a player is comfortable using it to dribble, pass and cross. Haaland is a great example, very one footed but he will still use his right foot.

Vini won't even look or give the illusion of going right which makes him a lot easier to defend, frustrating to be sure.

Super Pav, Defoe, Kane, and Son are all basically two footed and that has made them so much more dangerous to defend.

From the BBC:
Steven: Madness the way Matt Doherty hasn't had a look in under Mourinho. Comfortably their best right back, Wolves have missed him massively

Steven isn't a SC member is he?

Erik has really upped the anti here, most good stuff coming through him, changing the pace of moves with quick one touch passes not just dribbles.

Good stuff.

I'd love us to give bergwijn a run of games to get his confidence back as at the moment he's just making the wrong decisions, but at the same time we need someone who does make the right decision most of the time.

There's a cracking player in there somewhere but at the moment we need to win games, you look at dele for example, and he's hardly played but pops up with a goal like that, and he's passing the ball all over the pitch. Yes sometimes it doesn't come off but at least he's trying to make something happen whereas bergwijn seems to be taking the safe option.

There's a hesitancy, a shot-shy tendency that afflicts our play: Bergwijn has shown it several times, Lamela at least once and Vinicius twice. The only one who has been ruthless and confident with his finishing is Dele. It's not just this one match. A lot of our players don't shoot when the moment comes. They try to beat one too many players. Lucas does it often and Lamela is notorious for it.

That has undermined a good passing display against a tidy, well-drilled opposition that lacks inspiration and star quality. Winks has passed extremely well and consistently, but has been let down by people not making runs or losing the ball upon receipt. Davies has also been one of our best all-round players. Vinicius' hold-up play has been excellent, but his hesitancy, which has been an issue all season, has let him down. Hart has had sod-all to do, mainly because our defence has mopped up Wolfsberg's attractive but blunt attacks without much difficulty.

Let's get another goal and put on some kids.

I cannot see for the life of me how people were lauding Doherty being bought from wolves and were happy for KWP to be sold

Yep, KWP was very good going forward but poor defensively. He has however improved at Southampton. Doherty on the other hand is a train wreck when it comes to defending, bizarre signing.
