I saw nothing from Pope today to justify a high fee. He was no where near any of the goals.

Hugo would have let those 4 goals in too, they were brilliant goals.

Pope was the main reason we won 4-0 rather than 7-0, IMO.

Harsh to lay the blame for those goals at Pope’s door tbh.

The way the season has gone you definitely can't predict what will happen in the final stretch and with West Ham and Leicester in there currently there's potential for us, Chelsea, Liverpool or Everton to sneak in. Whoever can put a strong run together has a good shot!

Yep. We need to win these three league games now. One down, two to go.

Probably still down like €100 from backing Bale, but damn was that fun to watch???

Personally I didn't think our back 4 looked great, yes Sanchez got his head on the ball pretty well, but Toby still looked dodgy & his lack of pace is a problem for us. We've got good attacking talent & if we could find a solid back 4 we might doing something.

Just seen an interesting stat on beIN Sport. Top goalscorers in Europe at the moment are...

1. Bayern Munich with 102 goals
2. Tottenham Hotspur with 95 goals.

Roy Keane was talksport levels today, Sky need to be careful.
Calling us average (ex Son & Kane) is not punditry, it’s the sort of thing you hear in the pub.

Weren’t average when we humped his lot 6-1.

Redknapp was right to be angry; yes we’re out of form, yes we’ve not had a great season but we have talent all over the squad.

Gamewise we were top notch esp first half. Passing was crisp & fast, movement between the lines good and a lot of 2 touch (max) football. Ok Burnley weren’t great but mainly because we blew them away.

I’d guess we’ve played significantly more games than BM though

I thought Sanchez had his best game for Spurs but Toby was struggling a bit for pace several times.

Too clinical but still made some outstanding saves.

I cannot for the life of me understand why Roy Keane comes out with such controversial bollocks, what could the reason be? :cautious:

I didn’t lay the blame at his door. Rather I said he didn't get anywhere near the ball for any of our goals. The reason we didn’t score more was poor finishing or poor final pass. Nothing to do with Pope other than one great save he made in the second half.

Well he played like that in 95% of his games in his first season with us. Alongside Vertonghen.

He was far better in this first season for sure, but he was still prone to panicking ( particularly with the ball at his feet).

Credit to him today, but it will take a lot more for me to think he’s good enough over a long period.

I’d still look to play him and Toby together where possible the rest of the season though.

We do like playing with the sun on our backs. Onward and Upwards, keep this momentum and things can only get better. Still room for improvement team wise so all is good at the moment.

Wonderful performance, just what we needed. Today we finally saw our daydreams of a Bale Kane Son forward line all working together, and it was wonderful. I hope we keep Bale another year.

If Man Utd and Sheffield Utd can do us a favour would be a perfect weekend. We are, somehow, still in the Champions League race, and this is a positive step towards making the best out of the rest of the season, and putting as much pressure as we can. Yes, it was just Burnley, who haven't exactly been in great form themselves, but very happy today.

Also I thought Sanchez had a great game and showed what he does have. On one on one situations, he's our best defender, on the more organisational stuff and markers, not so. An experienced hand definitely can help mitigate that. Toy's passing was also exceptional today.

I also liked how close our front four were playing, while relying on fullbacks for the width, it's always what we did when we played our best stuff with Poch, and our front four, rotating positions, popping up in different places, it could give anyone a hard time when its working, today it wasn't the Son and Kane show like most of the season, it was a coherent, well-balanced attack.

Still no words from Mourinho on sky. The pricks still banging on about Chelsea Man Utd.
