Even Jose can’t win us stuff. We are actually doomed! A new manager won’t even be able to win us anything. Pep could take over tomorrow and we may be more pleasing on the eye but we still wouldn’t win anything. There is something rotten in the dna of the club right now.
“Right now”? I’ve been a supporter for 43 years and apart from the odd blip, it’s been like this most of the time.

let’s not think all was perfect under poch. We had plently of ITK supporting the theme that Poch was partially responsible for no signing in 2 years and too stubborn to accept any fresh blood. That’s when the rot set in

and I think he should have been sacked, SHOULD those players he wanted came in and failed. he probably knows the alternatives that levy and kitchen suggested are doom to fail.

if I accept them. and fails. then the fault is mine

"oh you agreed to signing them"

well because he had no fucking choice isn't it.

give the man his first choice. if he fails with it. its HIS fault

if you want a striker and I give you Louis Saha and Ryan Nielsen, you agree to it. now its on you.

Probably not a popular thought but this is something I’ve wondered about Poch’s painful rebuild for a while...

The core of these players faced the crushing disappointment of the battle of the bridge, and losing the title in that freak season to Leicester, and then suffered the heartbreak of losing the Champions League final...

I don’t think there’s any getting away from the damage to the group psyche two massive and heartbreaking failures like that can have on the mental strength of a team and I genuinely think that’s the heart of Poch’s painful rebuild...

Not in the dna of the club but the dna of the players. We need a proper clearout.

If nagelsmann does come in the summer, we have to realise - like when poch took over. It’s going to take 2 seasons at least of rebuild! The squad is fucked!
He won't. I mean why should he? Money?
First of all Levy has truely fucked himself with JM's contract. I wonder what the contingency plan is, cos I find it hard to believe that he's getting a 30 some odd million pound payday.

This is all on Levy, he really can't reconcile THE FACT that success on the pitch is the best route to financial success off it!!
That's as may be, but it's not magically going to change how things are approached financially. We know that's not how things work under the current owners.

I'd be quite happy for an owner who likes to chuck money into the team to turn up, but until we've got one of those, we're just going to have to hope we can be smarter.

Ledley as caretaker if it comes to it. I think the possibility of winning the EL has been one of Levy's main reasons for not sacking him before.
I think a new manager improves our chances of winning the EL.

Please someone explain what happened?!?
Were they brilliant and us abject? Yes, both
Were we worse than vs arse? Yes
Did we have any possession, were they counter attacking goals? Nope, we were outplayed
Please, no agenda nonsense, just a frank appraisal
.

A frank appraisal they wanted it more than us . A large number of our players showed no desire and apparently had forgotten how to play football

You know, I somehow missed the old Mourinho. People said he always threw players under the bus. He never did that here.

I wished he did. Sissoko, Winks, Davies, Dier should all be dead half a dozen times under the bus already. Just burn the bridge with these players. No point keeping the amiable relationship when they couldn't even do the day job well professionally. And now they had cost him the game, and possibly his job.

Surely everybody in the world can see the limitation of Sissoko and Winks when they have been so consistently meek and useless?

Mediocrity has been rewarded at the club for so long. Some of the shit that gets brought in the doors and handed new contracts is mind blowing. Taking us to the cleaners with absolutely no professional pride.

Thank you, I have always maintained that we are a cursed club. The only question for me is whether it's Juju or black magic. What we need is a proper witch doctor, not another big name manager.
