Why do we have to appeal, It will just be turned down by the FA.
because if we dont, we will never know
and no harm in trying, see how we are short of CB's at the moment

But there not going to backdown on it (Just like Keane's), and we will miss Zok for 3 games instead of 1because if we dont, we will never know

20 January-10 February: African Cup of Nations finals, GhanaSo effectively we will be without Zokora for the rest of December and the ACN ? When does the ACN start exactly ?
The problem is... it was a deserved red card. We (or just I) just feel it's unfair because of all the other similar and worse fouls that are commited and aren't punished to the same degree. I don't think Keane's was deserved of a red card at all, but Zokora's was. Two-footed tackles are supposed to be red card offences. It's just that referees often don't seem to give red cards for them.
I'm fairly certain that is the rule. I would consider it to be dangerous anyway. Any tackle that is two footed with studs up has to be.
Just in case anyone is unsure of the rules
So if a player jumps up for a header, elbows and arms out, and doesn't touch a player, he deserves to be sent off then?
He didn't touch Elano, end of story = No red card.

You can be sent of for intent, or thats what they tell us as well
But that isn't in the rules. That is just another made up media term like the daylight part of the offside rule.
