I forgot we were even playing until just now. I checked the kickoff time at like 6.30PM, too.

Quick summary: we went ahead against an out of form team through Kane, ended up drawing.

Sigurdsson looked like peak Kaka.

Jose has to go once the Carabao Cup final is over, no matter what result.

Even under a caretaker manager for the remainder of the season, I think we will see improvements from the players and whoever comes in as caretaker will probably use more of Bale, Toby, Rodon and GLC.

As a manager, if you play Sissoko for 90 mins and leave Bale and Lo Celso on the bench then you need to win because that is some ridiculous management.

Which club is in the worse state? Us or The Toffees?
I think we're further down the negative spiral with the coach but with some of the players we have and the likelihood we are getting a new coach we could respond faster.

I think Ancelotti will start to be under pressure next year.

But wasn't stated.
Just, who do you want to go first?
True.

Amazing anyone wants rid of Mourinho before we get rid of the Sissokos and Diers though. But I suppose some people just hate Mourinho more than they like Tottenham :D

So let me get this straight, you’d rather a hypothetical scenario of same squad, different manager than different players, same manager? @ralphs bald spot

Would you take Mourinho getting sacked if it means Sissoko and Dier stay and play?

Do people genuinely think Mourinho is more of an issue than having players like Dier and Sissoko in the team?

A lot of people won’t like this comment but if someone offers you 50/60 mill for ndombele you take it and run the definition of a YouTube player
Think he's superb and CAN run a game.

However, our midfield is a million miles away from what it was and if you could go get some consistent performers who give you a better platform you'd be wise to do it.

Our midfield isn't functional. I'd like to see him under a new coach nect year but of he doesnt start to run things consistently we should bass the centre on Lo Celso instead.

Here’s a clue back - I was talking about the players
mate I was only jesting -

I think the players are being made to look worse than they are becuase tactically we are set up so badly and there is no confidence in the side at all. I have never been a real fan of Sissoko but in a side where his running power and strength are utilised he did alright the problem now in a midfield that is all over the place he hasn't got the ability on the ball but he never has. Dier again I think he is all over the place at the moment but for me he is not that bad player and he can do a job but again the defence is shot and they are all as bad as each other almost.

Of course we will need some new blood but its not going to be easy to get rid of some of these players but surely its possible to get more out of them than we are managing currently

We were so absolutely thrilled to have actually managed to bring bale back, the rapture and amazement of it all. We knew it would take him time but he got there - and now has been exiled. Jose has literally killed the most exciting thing the club has given the fans for years

This. He’s sucked all life out of this club, I barely even watched the game tonight.

but in all honesty has he done that for Tottenham ? He has glimpses but two years on now and we are still talking about him not lasting 90 minutes - I think you might right about better players around him and I don't think the midfield are helped by the set up but he still needs to show more and exactly the same for Lo Celso

Would either of them get in any other side in the top 10 ?

I think Tottenham fans, like all fans really, are super guilty of massively over hyping our own players.

Just read through this thread, you’d swear Mourinho is not picking 2013 version Bale.

Just caught up on the game ,firstly us and Everton been compared together for years as original members of the top 5 and one thing we definitely still have in common is two vastly overpaid managers who are no doubt both laughing all the way to the bank, but to concentrate on our manager, never been much of one for conspiracy theories but surely he's now just taking the proverbial and knows he's going but realises Levy wont sack him because of the various financial implications in his contract, hence he's sticking 2 fingers up at Levy and refusing to play Bale,I honestly can't come to any other conclusion,it's complete insanity otherwise,I was really happy when Mourinho came,I honestly can't stand him now.

He'd have trouble running a bath. He can hardly run in a straight line. His boots must be supplied by the people who kit out deep sea divers. I don't like criticising our players but him Sanchez, Sissoko and Aurier are awful. Yet we have Bale, Lucas and Lamela etc on the bench.
