I don't want to give him a huge contract of the size of £400k a week. It is ludicrous. But could it be a tactic by Levy to make him unappealing to buy for other teams. If he moves then that is the wage he will be after as a minimum. An expensive move for us but also actually traps him at the club if nobody else is willing to pay him that. Eg. It is more than what KDB is on at Man City.

I hope we can just give him higher performance-related bonuses. Him scoring more goals for us is the best scenario for everyone.

Right, time to get behind him (and therefore the team) for the season. I don't like all the one of our own stuff now for him but each to their own.

Forgive, but don't forget.
FWIW my vote stays the same as it has since the poll appeared. Fuck him. I really hope this whole saga means he has less influence over the rest of the club, like free kick duties for example.

As this has come to an end now, does anyone else feel like fuck it we should have just joined the Super League? The way the media, pundits, ex pros and even Kanes behaved just makes me think it's the only way we can be protected.

Realistically we aren't going to challenge for major honours regularly with City / Chelsea at the top. Our players will get cherry picked, we got away with Kane on a 6 year deal, moving forward how many players will commit with us for that long.

Hasn't helped how fans of non rival clubs also seem to have had a hard on for Kane going to City, and telling us to accept it.

Talking shit tbh, just venting with Messi joining PSG, CR7 apparently joining City and after this Kane mess hard to enjoy football as it used to be.

Would anyone be so kind as to summarise (or post)? Many thanks ?
Summary attempt:

Harry Kane will be happier in the long run if people who've loved him all these years keep loving him rather than if he leaves and puts a blood-soaked, oil-slicked gold medal round his neck. The End.

The sheer fucking hubris of them.

why? I doubt it’s hard to do thst. Best plan far ahead for situations like this. I bet they have a template and it’s just a matter of filling in the content. Similar to how newspapers write basic obituary of people that are still alive.
