IMHO, some are losing perspective here. Nuno is assessing his squad on the fly and taking the decisions as we go on this season.
Kane, Ndombele staying also makes a huge difference to whom we want or what we can afford.

Just an example : Tanganga was all set for a loan out. Only for him to come up with 3 good performances start of this season. This may mean, we wont go for 20m Tomiyasu. If we can find someone from academy who can step up, then the marginal gain in performance Tomiyasu may bring in may not be much against a 20m fee , Paratici/Nuno may have thought, its better to invest that in a Pape Sarr for next year.

If spending money is a criteria - then Arsenal have had the best window...but I guess no one agrees.

All well and good for us to say who should come in and who should go. Never as easy as all that. Took over 5 windows to be rid of the Redknapp players that were not wanted. So we are still trying to shift players who are currently surplus to requirements. You can't make them go. Rose didn't want to go. He ran down his contract. Aurier could do the same. Yes, THFC could take a loss on the player and then shell out more to buy him out, but that is not going to be done. Winks doesn't want to go - offers out there. Sanchez doesn't want to go - offers out there. Ndombele only wants the best destinations - they don't want him and he doesn't want to go elsewhere.

This is hardly unique to THFC. It is reality for any club that is in Europe every year and has a full roster. It's not a big deal if Leeds brings in the RB they want and allows the current one to sit on the sidelines. It only affects their salary amount. If they can afford it, that is the only consideration. For Spurs, salary and roster position are at issue.. RM have the same issue. It's why they were so happy to have Bale with us last year. Roster position opened and less salary out as we were paying some.

For all the whining on goals, Vinicius scored 1 PL goal. Lamela 1. Sissoko 0 and for the first 25 match days, Bale had 1. So we need Dele (0 last year) Gio (1 last year), Moura (3 last year), Bergwijn (1 last year) to step up and start scoring goals and they are all capable of doing. Dele has already missed 3 golden chances this year (including the other day). If Nuno can get them scoring and the confidence goes up, the goals outside of Harry and Son will be there.

Yes, an AMF with goals and assist in him would be great. Not sure who that person is. Ideally it would have been Ndombele but he doesn't seem particularly interested in putting in the effort or the application. Consequently, nobody wants him.

So yes, it all happens again, because, as with every year for a a decade, roster and salary remain considerations and players need to want to come or go for things to work. Aurier is easy - Tomiyasu or Emerson can be brought in and Aurier can sit. One year left on the contract so he can sign a pre-deal in January. Not the case for Winks, Sanchez, Dier, Ndombele.

Still a full day left. Let's see what happens. I like what we have done so far and if Emerson is coming, that too is great.

One more day and we will know a bit more how much ambition is in our club.

Until then I try to hold back my thoughts...

:ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: at half of you lot. Coming across as a right bunch of self entitled dicks.

'Daddy promised me new toys, PROMISED!!!'

Pretty embarrassing to be honest.

To be fair its more of

"Daddy's secretary at work told me he was getting me new toys"!

Maybe because we do not have one? How do you think the stadium will respond when we play like we did yesterday with Skipp/Høibjerg and are loosing? We had fantastic spells under Mourinho as well, and were top of the league, but in the end we palyed to defensively and had NO creativity, this will not change if we do not have creative players?

Creative players we have :. Kane, Lo Celso, Gil, Ali and if ndombele can be bothered him also.

It’s vital we get another attacking body in.
A wing forward or striker.
I refuse to believe the club will leave us short there.
So hopefully Emerson and a forward and I’d be content.

Genuinely no one is coming across like that.

People are just voicing their concerns, which they have every right to do.

I'm still remaining optimistic but I can understand why people are concerned as we're late in the day. The only posts I find irritating are those levitating above the rest of the posters that they're above it all. .

-Kept Kane
-Replaced Alderweireld with Romero
-Managed to swap Lamela for a highly rated youngster in Gil
-Signed another highly rated kid in Pape Sarr
-About to replace Aurier with a superior player in Emerson
-Could still sign another forward in the next 24 hours

Great transfer window - club with a plan.

That is a Gooner's take on our window so far on Arsemania. They've spent £130m and are in meltdown over their window.

You could add the fact we got money for Sissoko, signed Son to a longer contract and have brought Lloris' replacement. All in one window. And it hasn't closed yet.
Thank you for this post ?

I’m personally baffled about people saying we haven’t replaced Bale. Have you not noticed that Ryan Sessegnon is back in the squad?

But nothing suggests that we want one? We weren't linked with any 10 by reliable sources.
We can play with Lo Celso and/or Ndombele. Then creativity won't be an issue.

The bottom line I expect is that we have a very limited budget so we were never going in to bring in hoards of talent without the Kane money.

Very rational piece here. Only thing I’d say is that it seems Emerson is dependent on Aurier being moved on.

The window isn’t shut yet, is it? Let’s just chill and see what happens by the end of it. Then we can either rejoice or really lose our shit.
