It was only Newcastle, but I don’t think there could be a more difficult time to play them than today.

We spoilt the Saudi party, and showed the right mentality throughout.

Lots of positives.

Making no subs was reckless though.

Absolutely. And I was one who could certainly see a defeat, just due to the circumstances and Spurs being Spurs so full credit to the team and management really. There were certainly some encouraging elements to our play that hadn't really been seen before today.

Glad he’s found a settled team, hopefully in future though he learns to tell us to kill the game / make subs in similar scenarios

West Ham away is such a big game for Nuno.

Let's see if we've turned a corner with this new settled team.

Long way to go but it's good to see that Nuno has tried to adapt and we're playing on the front foot much more. Hopefully he's worked out his strongest side now and if Ndombele keeps up this form we'll be seeing much better football.

We need to keep the run and quality of performances going and certainly stick with the team

West Ham will be a different environment and different level of opposition - theyre a damn good team make no mistake.

Better in possession but tbh I think it was more due to Newcastle's complete lack of press and/or the fact that it was super easy to just get the ball to Ndombele and leave the progression to him. Better teams would track him out of the game and force us to progress it through Skipp and Hojbjerg, which I'm still not confident about.

Nothing particularly special but two wins in a row and the start of a more settled starting XI is good progress given where we were a fortnight ago. West Ham next week should be a better litmus test.

He got the team selection right today... but does he know he's allowed to make 3 substitutions in the Premier League?

Definitely a work in progress. We could have been more clinical today and probably deserved 2 more goals but I was impressed with how the boys bounced back after that early goal. I just really hate how we'll build some momentum, string together a couple wins and solid performances and then International week rears it's ugly head and we lose all that momentum. That'll be true challenge for Nuno and the players going into the rest of the season.

Rather bizarrely, Mourinho has an identical record to Nuno at Roma. 5 wins, 3 defeats.

I know most probably don't care I just found it rather interesting even if it means nothing.
