Great win, nice football happy days for now. West Ham game will be the real litmus test as to where we are at under Nuno.
We I fear are judging things far too quickly. Give Nuno until say March or April and then see whether we are making progress as a team with Nuno as Manager. I have a fear we are going to end up as the best of the rest unless Son and Kane really find their scoring boots.

I think he has as long as poch does at PSG if you get my drift.

Either way I think after those shambolic three losses he is doing OK.

Last two games we have been really good. For him to get N'dombele playing like he did yesterday is a rally credit as he looked a different person and pkayer.

Best of the rest could well be quite a good season, depending on who you have outside of ' the rest '

It will and it won't. I still think there will be up's and downs until January time(at least), as the team learns more about each others strengths and weaknesses. I didn't over react when we won the first 3 nor when we went on that poor run when many decided he should go. It's still jury out for me with good signs of progress. The West Ham game won't define our season/future, in the same way the City and Arsenal games wouldn't either.

Think its important for him not to lose a 4th London derby in a row. Would probably take a draw if offered now but i do kinda fancy our chances a little. I dont think they are quite as good as people make them out to be and i dont think that we are anywhere near as bad as some make us out to be.

Seriously? I can only assume you're talking about Leicester.

.
we will finish higher because of individual quality not the style and standard of overall football we play. If I was a neutral I would watch Brighton play ahead of spurs at the moment without any doubt although there has been a dramatic improvement in the last 2 games.

True, but then Crystal Palace are utter shite too, and look what happened there.

I didn't realise until looking at the table yesterday that Palace have only won 1 game all season, which was their 3-0 against us. They've only scored 8 goals all season, 3 of which they got against us in the space of 17 minutes.

If it weren't for that one result, which looks more and more like an anomaly the further we get into the season, we'd now be 3rd, which is crazy really.

Of course, as shite as Palace are, I'd be delighted for them to bank another 3-0 win this evening...
In fairness Palace have only lost two games all season, and against Liverpool and Chelsea. Palace aren't a terrible side and they have reasons to be fairly optimistic. Newcastle, on the other hand, are a different level of shit. 5 losses no wins, just three draws against Southampton, Watford and Leeds. Very different kinda team.

Having said that, what pleases me about this performance is how it seems to build on the Aston Villa game. Taking the positives of that and producing a very well rounded performance from it. And also that, it doesn't matter who you are against, to dominate like that is hard. Having said that it was far from the perfect performance.

Obviously, Nuno will need time, but taken just on table position alone, he's doing alright. The lateness of his appointment and these constant international breaks wouldn't have helped him. But I do see positives, and he's likable, so I really wish him the best. The next three PL games will provide better clarity of what we will be able to achieve this season.

Agree with your points although I didn’t say that one match would define our season/future but it will be a better indicator of our performance levels with what now seems like a settled first XI and formation.

West Ham are a very decent team. We’ve not turned up in our last 3 London derbies, even if we don’t win I’m hoping we at least are much more competitive against West Ham, if so that will be progress for Nuno and the team.

I was thinking this morning about all the negativity that has surrounded Nuno going back to the job search.

First, it was "He is a Mendes" client, so we will only get Mendes clients. This has not turned out to be true.

Then it was: "He will only play that back-3 that he used at Wolves!" This has turned out not to be true. We have not used a back-3 once.

Then it was: "He is too negative, and only focused on defense!" (This one was ironic, because most people would have said the aspect that needed addressing was a more organized defense...). But, given time, we can see this was not the case either. Yes, its true that we started the season slowly, and probably too negative. But the last two games have shown that Nuno is still learning the squads strengths and weaknesses, and adapting. Moving from a 433, to the 4231 to accommodate Ndombele's skills should not go unnoticed. Not only has Nuno gotten Ndombele playing again - but has adapted his (Nuno's) style to accommodate a more creative player, who did not fit the 433.

I think the lesson here is that the manager should be supported, and should be given the time to make adjustments when things are not working. Sometimes I think we expect perfection, in every game, from every player, without accounting for the process. There is a difference between being critical, and being hypercritical - and I think supporters cross that line too often.

I hope Nuno continues to develop, and I hope he wins over the supporters. We could do a lot worse.

He's worked with who was available, starting with the likes of Dele and Tanganga, two fan favourites who have been put aside to make way for the more effective players coming in. The NDombele turnaround was a lot quicker than I expected, and there's Lo Celso if NDombele isn't firing...

The N'Dombele turnaround needs a lot more than 2 games to classed as complete.

I think only really the arsenal one was truly shambolic. We had a lot of issues for palace, but the arsenal loss nuno was incompetent. The Chelsea match can happen to anyone really. But I still think he’s not good enough at all.
