Ok fair enough, I agree with those points tbh but I’d counter that with the fact he had very little budget and did creatively well with it with the Ins and Outs and most of the signings so far look pretty promising wouldn’t you say?

If he’d signed a load of duds so far and as you say hadn’t addressed some key areas then fine, but he brought in a very good CB, a decent RB and a talented young GK and RW and CM for the future, I’d say it was a fairly solid start from Paratici?
I agree with Romero, once he settles in I think he could be one of our best buys for a long time. I still have to be convinced about Emerson and Gil they haven't actually stood out yet but there's a long season to go so we'll see.

You have faith in the guy who chose the guy you don't have faith in? ?‍♂️
To be fair it does seem to be Mendes who shoved both Gattusso and Nuno our way.

didn’t he also broker the deal to bring Paratici to Spurs?

Mendes is the one holding the smoking gun from behind the grassy knoll.

Goes out his way to hire a defensive minded coach and we still manage to concede 16 goals in 10 PL games.

I think you are right, people are just angry, personally I think there is progress, we need solid foundations first, let’s be honest if Kane had his heart in it, we would look a lot more dangerous. Rather than looking so poor in attack.

Sadly we have lost 4 Derby’s in embarrassing fashion and played boring football! Hopefully nuns will start to get us playing attractive football. If he doesn’t soon it’s going to be hard to keep anyone onside!
I don’t think nuns will help us.

He should not have any say in the next manager for Tottenham.

Everyone and their blind uncle could see Nuno was never gonna work. Time wasted

Levy can't be too happy with Paratici today given that he fought for his appointment against the wishes of most at the club. Not sure if the payout will be as high as the 10 million I've seen reported, but whatever it is won't sit comfortably with a chairman who charged Friedel 800 quid for swapping shirts in his last season. Pressure's on to get this one right, Fabio...

This.

Lots of us rightly unhappy with Levy for last couple of seasons but Nuno appointment mainly on Paraciti.

Pretty sure we couldn’t make our minds up on 10 other targets before Paratici was even involved.

Sure Paratici got Nuno vs Fonseca wrong but it’s not all on him at all he’d only just come to the club.

You just wonder if they ever talked about football when Levy interviewed Paratici. The philosophy should have been at the heart of the discussion.

I remember Levy's interview about Paratici and he talked about what a tough negotiator he is. I'm not sure if that's the most important factor for a DOF. So far I'm encouraged by the signings. Nuno was wrong but hopefully there were factors out of his control and he'll get it right now he's been here a while.

There was no smoking gun behind the grassy knoll. :cautious:

I think you're being too lenient! He must have been aware that there's a history and expectation of attacking football at this club yet appointed someone who goes against that. And he was sure enough to force the appointment through against some resistance (just how much we don't know). Seemed very much led by him.

Furthermore I'm skeptical about his signings. Not convinced by Royal or Gollini so far, time will tell with Sarr and Gil too. Romero seems decent but let's not forget that we paid a healthy sum for him, and it doesn't sound like we had any competition from bigger clubs so hardly a coup. I can't give him too much credit for anything yet.

With regards to the signings it is too early to tell but Romero is looking an excellent signing. Royal is performing considerably better than our other right back signings since Walker and Gil is showing excellent potential and the ability to perform this season. Gollini is just a sensible signing and the fact that we're buying young potential in Sarr is exactly what we should be doing.

As far as the manager is concerned I believe Levy fucked up and got too involved. I'm happy to give Paratici a pass on Nuno but if he is to decide the replacement then he needs to get it right.

I don't think Royal has matched Trippier or Aurier's levels yet, but both also had quite bad dips so that's by the by. I don't feel strongly enough about him to make much of a case. But what do you mean about Levy getting too involved? He didn't want Nuno by all accounts. Or do you mean in not giving Conte what he wanted first time around?

My understanding is Levy didn't like the way ETH interviewed and Potter doesn't want to come to us while Levy is here. That suggests to me that he is involved and is a big part of the problem, probably the main one.

Would you want to have egg and chips every morning with your boss?
