They have probably agreed a loan until the summer on favourable terms, with a larger fee agreed for the summer to compensate. Just kicking the can further down the road and topping up their debt.
As I posted yesterday from what I've been hearing all along(and have posted elsewhere more than once) it wasn't us delaying it mate, we were happy to pay the fee. Mendes was sorting replacements and moving pieces of his jigsaw to accommodate the deal, which was holding it up. I posted on here weeks ago that the Mendes Merry go round was heating up, because that supposedly was what was enabling this deal to go through. It was never a financial issue.
Another good source calling it.
Of course, it is what it is. That doesn't alter the fact it has been him holding it up all along, and not a couple of million pounds we were supposedly haggling over. The thing is ultimately if the player prefers Barca, that's that. Mendez can just turn around to us and say he was looking after his player's interests.
He's not choosing us over Barcelona, let's be honest.
An opportunity to go back to the club he started at - I just hope the 'Conte wasn't fussed' line coming out at the moment isn't spin.
Do people actually read or research the twitter accounts before posting FFS ???????
He is quoting Romero

Sounds like us with our loan to buy options
FWIW I still haven't heard this is off, or anything yet so lets see how things pan outOh yeah, I'm not criticisng the club at all.
100%Blessing in disguise if he goes to Barca.
He's not a RWB and will end up as yet another impact player off the bench as he's too inconsistent to start every game in the front 3 or reliably defend as a wing back. Don't know why so many people think he will revolutionise our attack when he's always been a rotational option at Wolves.
Would much rather we sign a proper, dedicated attacking RWB for the long term than trying to shoe-horn in Traore cos he's Paratici's pet project. Doesn't even sound like Conte is that fussed about him.
