It says it's his Team ranking? Didn't suggest otherwise

Squwaka doesn't let you split Nuno Sanchez from Conte Sanchez, but he's quite clearly our 2nd best performing defender (Dier close behind) behind Romero, per 90, in the league this season. Based on the Sky Sports stats, it suggests that the Nuno period is watering that down heavily (well, and our eyes, because he was shite under Nuno)

Sanchez is proper Jekyll and Hyde when it comes to performances. But it all depends on how we play. If we decide we don't want the ball and just keep inviting pressure, it doesn't suit Sanchez. But when we play on the getting foot, he is a lot more confident, even bringing the ball out. This is why he looked good in his first season under Poch (before being benched for no reason) but under Nuno and Jose he looked awful.

Sanchez needs cover from midfield. If he has it he shines, if he doesn't his weaknesses are exposed.

I personally feel Sanchez has a very high ceiling but for consistency, when the penny drops he can be up there.

He's a hell of a lot better in a back 3, just like Dier and Davies. I'm still baffled as to why Mourinho and Nuno couldn't work this out. Regardless of that, I think he might be used as a bargaining chip in the Summer if the right deal comes along, assuming Romero nails down the RCB spot.

I think we make a mistake if we do that. I would like to see Sanchez and Romero as the two main defenders and a young fast defender coming in and moving Davies on instead.

Somehow feels that Sanchez and Romero together lacks a bit of muscle. Would rather have Dier pairing with Romero.

My thinking is that Sanchez could bring in a big lump of money and there are a few CBs we could pick up cheaply or free. I think Dier next to Romero in a back 3 is our best option.

Looking better than he has done for a long time. Looks more calm and confident and is talking more, credit conte for managing him a lot better than Jose did for example.

The kid isn’t perfect but just needed an arm round the shoulder and clear instructions as to how to play, glad to se him playing well.

Still so young for a CB. Many forget.
No we don't we have been reminded about his potential for 5 years.

Much improved on the ball I have to say and playing in a three really helps him, especially because when he makes mistakes there is cover. That in itself must take a lot of pressure off.

Conte likes the two wider CBs to push on and be aggressive, proactive in winning the ball, doing it further from goal also suits him.

I won't lie, if someone offers the money we paid or close to it I'd sell as I've seen too many blunders in the past and am just a bit uneasy when people run at him, especially in the box as he does dangle a leg out often.

Looked amazing tonight. Literally took the piss a few times dummying a clearance and switching feet. He’s got 3 months to prove himself as a starter. He’s always played better when getting regular games.
