Never really thought about harrison but he would be an excellent wing back for us

He would be so good under conte

While we are at it with Leeds, messier would be a great number 2

Only one replacement for Kane and that’s Haaland for goals out out. Different players though. No chance we get him though.

Should Kane leave then I’d love us to go for Darwin Nunez.

absolute gem of a striker.

great finishing, intelligent movement and an eye for a pass.

would suit us and be the right age (22) profile for us to mount a title challenge in next couple of years.

Him, Bremer for lcb, are the type of affordable and sensible purchases we should be going for.

gravenberch is probably off to Bayern but if he’s not, then we should be all over him for £20m type money.

Jeremie Frimpong would improve us at rwb and be HG.

JWP would also be a good addition to our midfield and be a great replacement for winks.

Bremer and Gravenbach will go for top money and to bigger clubs than us.

Gotta love spurs fans we shouldn’t sign player x as he might not start every or take players y position. Come on we need a squad that can play at the same level or better than some of our starter. Eriksen is a easily a yes(if he wants to sign).
If you read just a few posts above someone says Modric and Eriksen would start every game, and rightly so there's a response about whether they fit into Conte's 343 ahead of our current best 11. I don't think anybody is really saying we shouldn't try and sign them if they're available and we're all in agreement we need top quality depth in the squad

I think the World Cup is gonna be such a big factor in players decisions. Not sure how many games they have before squads are announced maybe a dozen. Will be very hard to attract players that feel not starting could jeopardise a World Cup place. It’s definitely a different scenario to the past where players would feel they have a whole season to prove themselves, now only maybe a dozen games.

No that’s not true. The post I replied to asked that exact question- would Eriksen start ahead of kulusevski?

there are people that don’t seem to think players accept that they have to fight for their position in the starting eleven.
There are also people who don’t appear to make the link between our weak squad and our lowly position in the league.
If we signed Eriksen, it would be similar to Liverpool signing Tiago alcantara. Doesn’t play every game. Doesn’t always play in the big games. But plays in enough games to avoid burning out the other midfielders.
And I hope no one would be stupid enough to suggest he couldn’t play in a conte system

Gravenberch possibly. Although I doubt it would be different to de jong /de ligt in that we would offer the same money but the player would choose to go elsewhere.
Im sure we can afford to match the fee for bremer if we so wish. Him choosing inter over us does make a lot of logical sense from a players perspective.

but I feel like this summer we will appear as a very ambitious club, regardless of our final league position

Somewhere in the world, whitedane's contemplating this very conundrum

Agree completely and this was part of my point. We thought for ages we had a chance at Vlahovic in similar circumstances.

No, not always. But coming in with 30mins remaining- or rotating with him to play in games where we shift to 352.
would totally add quality to the squad
He wouldn’t play 60 games next season and I wouldn’t want him to
Would you?
Yeah I’d want him!

And Eriksen!

And Bale! (Especially if then in fifa 2023 we get him back with his man-bun as did enjoy running down win watching it bobbing up and down! ??).

Yeah and if Son needed resting think of all those chances Eriksen and Kulusevski either side of Kane would serve him! ??

Yeah this was point I was making - poster had said they’d start every game, which I didn’t agree with.

I’d be very much in favour of Eriksen though as we need more options as once Kulusevski is out our creativity will drop massively.

Also Eriksen gives different options allowing us to play different systems in different games, also allowing us to maintain quality in the team for say cup games, where are back ups have been appalling last few years.

Also say someone like Bale we’d unleash on say Burnley (if they stay up) as he bullied the shit outta them.

Then he can be rested next game etc.

Some in January were saying Maehle from Atalanta was perfect for us in January. Never seems to start for them anymore. Hateboer seems first choice now

Even our national coach hasn’t got a clue why he isn’t playing. He keeps smashing it for Denmark though

Reza on twitter saying Sam Johnstone is signing on a pre in the summer. Free alternative for Goillini which isn’t bad.
