Thought it’d be good to get this discussion going since (I’m assuming) the Transfer Section will be closed/scrubbed soon and we had this going leading up to the Winter Window. I hadn’t seen anything yet, but Mods, delete if it’s too early. Just seemed like some threads had “So and so looks a player” seeping into it and derailing them a tad.

Watching Torino vs Juventus and Bremer (CB) is as good as advertised. Built like a brick shithouse and has handled anything thrown his way well. Singo at RWB looks solid, and has put in a couple of good crosses, but looks a little awkward at times with the ball at his feet. Bremer is absolutely legit though - unfortunately sounds like Inter really want him.

he’s been completely dominant. i haven’t seen vlahovic anonymous like that since, well, the last time bremer played against him.

It’s rare to see dominant performances like this in general, but to do it in The Derby della Mole is incredible. And like you said, with Juve offering a pretty incredible front 3 (prior to Dybala’s early exit) to boot.

As good as Bremer looks, I think it’s more likely we will be going for De Vrij, experienced, has worked with Conte etc.

Totally agree and would be all for that, too.
Is his contract up this summer or next? Would be a shrewd deal. I’ll be interested to see who our wing back, and minefield targets are. Bentancur looks a good buy so far but we need another top player in there imo alongside him and Skipp.

Looks like 2023 so should still be a good deal in it for us.

De Vrij definitely feels like a goer.

The one target that I cant quite figure out is who the RWB will be. There are so many different options out there but none are ready made, nearly all of them would have to be bought on potential alone. Maehle, Spence, Livramento, Lazzari, many more.

This position is crucial and im not sure there is a standout candidate.

Bremer has a higher ceiling tbh, reminds me of Van Dijk.

But De Vrij could slot into Conte's system straight away.
I honestly have my concerns over De Vrij in the PL. He’s a very solid defender but he’s not fast and he’s not on the same level as Thiago. I also feel he benefits a lot from having Skrinnar next to him. Really if I was going to take one defender from Inter it would be Bastoni as he really has a lot of potential and would fit straight into the LCB role. De Vrij on the cheap wouldn’t be a bad signing of course especially as he would probably rotate with Dier, I just feel he might struggle a little in this league.

Why not both Bremer and De Vrij, move on two of Sanchez, Rodon and or Davies. Bring in experience and one for the future, centre halfs sorted for 4/5 yrs with these two and Dier? Personally would be tempted to keep Rodon over Davies ,but multiple managers have now chosen not to use Rodon. Sanchez must go this summer.

Personally think Lazzari would be a smart choice given his experience and technical ability. Shouldn’t be crazy expensive.

Seen some recent rumors about Piero Hincapie which would make a lot of sense for a classy LCB.

We’d likely need at least two CBs in the summer as I think we might sell Sanchez and Rodon. Tanganga might need a loan out.

Hopefully we get two new CBs in and promote Paskotsi to the first team squad. 3 in, 3 out.

For me, it would be…

1. GK - Youngish Home Grown to be backup and potential number one after Lloris is done. Who that is, have no clue.

2. LCB: - Bremer (Been quality last 2 years)

3. RWB - Frimpong

4. Striker - Osimhen

5. CM - Kessie (Free) and Modric (Free)

6. WF - Bale or Dybala (Both Free)

7. CB - De Vrij

Not saying we will be getting 7-8 players in summer, but we should be looking along the lines of the above, where we have a good blend of Young talented players mixed with experienced players who have a winning mentality.

Some of the ITK guys on twitter mentioned we were looking at Mæhle. Wouldn’t costs to much. Obv I’m a huge fan. Can play both WBs, only 24, very fast and scores goals.

Max Kilman has impressed me so much recently. I feel like he would be the absolute perfect fit for that LCB position. However, he will cost a fortune at this point, I’d imagine.
