You’re right. He hasn’t been as good for Atalanta as for Denmark but there’s more to the story. Gasperini has said he played to much for Denmark, which is bizarre on its own. If you know Gasperini you know he is saying some weird stuff. Mæhle just laughed at that and after it they weren’t talking. Mæhle has also said his role at Atalanta is way more strict in a way he doesn’t have much freedom compared to at Genk or for Denmark. Doesn’t suit him. Like I said it’s a mess now and he needs a move this summer.

Laimer to Bayern would be a shame. Bayern certainly acquire some decent talents for more than reasonable money compared to a few of the other leagues in Europe.
I know it's reported he's out of contract next summer, but Bayern certainly seem to benefit from their grandeur and the fact that they pretty much win the Bundesliga season on season .
Totally get why some players want to play for the elite clubs, but Bayern certainly do well when considering that pretty much means them, and them only, if one wishes to stay in the Bundesliga.

I wonder how long it will take for us after the season finishes to start doing our business. You’d imagine free transfers, if we are properly after any, will move soon. Ether way I really really hope everything is done before the first day of pre season

I know there was talk of Inter in the media circa €25-€30 million.
Certainly think he has a few suitors which could well see his price escalate.

Seems to have decent potential but not the type of signing that I hope to see from us this summer to be honest. These sort of signings we've always made in the past to mixed success and he's going to be another punt on potential, I hope it's different this summer and we are signing top quality players who can come in straight away and elevate the team.
