It occurs to me that, given nearly all of our targets are also being looked at by Arsenal, the game vs. them was a real sliding doors moment.
Assuming the guidance in this thread is right, would we really be getting Bissouma, Eriksen, Spence and whoever else we get had we we not beaten them? I very much doubt it

Thanks for the update mate. Tbh could be a blessing in disguise as I think Bissouma will be a better fit in a midfield 2. Mckennie is a good player but a little more box to box whereas Bissouma like Wanyama will cover every blade of grass and will boss the middle.

I seem to recall there being info a few weeks back that we wanted all of our incomings tied up before the squad heads off to Korea, which I think is the first week of July?
If we can get Eriksen, Spence and Bissouma done this week, that leaves Fabio just over two weeks to seal the big money deals for Richarlison and either Bastoni or Torres.
At which point you’ve gotta think that’s our squad complete, unless any great opportunities arise later in the window.
A full two months before deadline day!

If we end up signing Perisic, Forster, Bissouma, Eriksen and Spence in the first week of a transfer window, I cannot think of another summer window that comes close in terms of improving a squad.

We've not seen anything like this, for sure. All of the years of building up the club finally being splooged all at once. Incredible times. Conte more than serious about wanting a tilt at the title immediately, clearly.
