Thanks for all the ITK!
I loved Tielemans when he was in Anderlecht (?) and wanted us to sign him then but now I'm not so sure. Yes he is good with the ball and can do crosses etc but will he a serious contend for winning the league? If we trade winks + £ for Tielemans and he accepts to be a sub it's a fantastic signing (as i don't know which other players we are interested in)

But lenglet from Barcelona don't seems that good (if Conte wants him ofc i will back him). I haven't seen him that much but it's not a player you just think Wow, i hope we buy him! Hope to be proving wrong and from the info we got it seems like we are in for lenglet and one more CB

Cheers guys with the ITK. Some of these signings are very exciting. Beyond the quality of signings & backing of Conte, it’s bringing the fans back on board in a big way which is equally as important for the season ahead.

Love the update mate thanks, all very positive and exciting, so so good to see such a clear plan we are executing on as early as we can.

As for the volume of signings I said a while back that in Conte’s first season at Juve with Paratici he overhauled the squad signing 10 players and I wonder if come summer we might look to do the same, the cash injection and CL football seem to have enabled us to be on track to get close to that.

Some might say 7,8,9,10 signings is too many and will unsettle the squad but I disagree as a lot of these signings are seasoned pro’s who know either the league or conte and so will fit in and adapt very quickly.

It was pretty much a miracle conte got us 4th with the squad we had last year from the position he was in and we were always one or two big injuries away from having to call upon some very subpar replacements (winks, Lucas etc), luckily we went out of Europe and signed Kulu and Bentancur in Jan and the rest us history but it is very pleasing to hear about the potential volume of signings as if we want to compete in every trophy like conte will want us to and with the 5 sub rule next season then tbh 7 signings is really the minimum we need.

COYS ?? and loving the tsunami ? of ITK at the moment, legends the lot of ya.

Agreed on the numbers stated.

In reality it's simple. We've always been a 4-6th placed club and had questionable depth. Conte, Paratici and even Levy (now) want us to operate as a big club that competes for trophies. Top quality depth is key there (or a really good asthma programme). Time for us to level up.

Conte has previous for doing it at Juve and Inter. The club now has the revenues to sustain a bigger and better squad. It's perfect timing really.

He has a very good core of players here at Spurs that he trusts, probably around 15 players. To truly compete he needs that number to be more like 20-22. So plenty of scope for new signings. With European clubs on their knees financially and our timely cash injection this is the perfect window to do a massive squad overhaul. 7-8+ players sounds too many to integrate however that is the beauty of us getting them in early. Much better chance of integrating players that way.

The aim past this summer will be for less radical moves I'm sure. This summer is all about establishing a proper quality base for the future and we look well on course to doing that.

If signings like YT and Lenglet end up being the most underwhelming then I'd say the window has been a smashing success.

We need to enjoy this summer.

Not sure we'll be seeing another transfer window quite like this one for a loooooooong time.

Conte gets this talent and depth clicking...we shouldn't need a summer transfer window like this ever again

Some of the CM/AM names being hinted at are ones I thought we'd have no chance of a year or two ago... ?
Very exciting.

Given the way we've clearly allocated a lot of cash for this window and want to make a point of backing Conte I was thinking there could be a big, wildcard, statement signing to top things off.

In going cheap in other positions (Spence, Perisic, Lenglet, Bissouma) and making cash from sales, there's certainly scope for us to make another big signing without breaking the bank.

It's the type of thing that Spurs of old never ever would have done, but might be the kind of statement that convinces Conte to sign a new contract and let other clubs know we're not fucking around this time.

If we don't do it then I'll be very happy regardless but would be the cherry on top of an already fantastic window.

My dear Rob, you come along and say this when half the forum are struggling to come to terms with the slightly underwhelming nature of a possible YT arrival as our primary creative addition. This is like cutting your leg open whilst crawling through a salt mine.

Keep an eye on HC at Inter to see if that progresses. ??

Wouldn’t be surprised if Inter sell him if they go for Dybala (this part is opinion)
