I’d imagine Conte will give all of Gil, Lo Celso and NDombele a fresh look in pre-season until they are officially sold/loaned. Crazier things have happened than a player turning it around at a club when they looked set to leave. Gil prob best placed to convince.

I don't think it's about a fresh look, not for Lo Celso and Ndombele.

Gil, if he can bulk up a little, could get into the squad. He just needs to work hard.

Agreed, the only one who may get a fresh look is Lo Celso, as he really impressed on loan, so if he comes back hungry and is happy to be a bit part player at 10, conte might give him a shot

When he finds his feet Bryan Gil will be every bit as good as Bernardo Silva or even David Silva. He will mature and be an absolute star. He can do it at Spurs under Conte.
Oh optimistic rating, where for art thou?

I think Gil's really talented. The issue he has is (as others have said) he really is something of a square peg looking for a hole that fits (oooh err) in a Conte team.

Definitely needs to bulk up though, however you look at it

I do think Gil has something and could eventually compete with Kulusevski as the inside right forward in the team...

Ideally having Kane, Son, Kulusevski, Richarlison and Gil as our forward options.

Lo So So back there is no chance like GIl there is no place for him we aren't going to play with a spare man of the forwards Kane can drop and create eminently better than either of them without disrupting the game plan - in a Spurs shirt less people forget Lo So So contributed bugger all apart from being very good at tucking in his shirt

Gil is wasted playing from the left as a youngster. His playmaking and close control coupled with his lack of physicality makes sense for him to cut in from the right onto his left to look for playmaking opportunities. Completely on board with t his.

He's pictured at Hotspur Way today. I think it'd make sense to have a look at him in preseason. A loan deal doesn't have to be done at the start of the window.

more so that Gordon !! - but Gil has done nothing in English football looking largely lightweight and peripheral figure in games- he has some ability on the ball but its hard to see where he fits a Conte side and if your looking at loans ask yourself as a manager of a bottom half premier league club do you fancy Gil a bit of luxury player unproven in England I can't see who would fancy him so for a loan or a transfer he has to go back to the continent - what's the point of us keeping a player when we aren't going to be playing a nbr 10 or wingers and he is sixth best forward if that - not necessarily a bad player but there is no path for him
He’s also been offered very little game time, fleeting minutes off the bench, no fixed position and a couple of starts from memory in the Europa conference, along with manager upheaval with the Nuno episode. Respect your opinion but there’s a reason he’s been capped by Spain, played 100+ senior games and earned a big transfer to England at the age of 20 - honestly think with a run of games, in the right system he will go on to be a star in a few years in a similar mould to a Bernardo Silva or a David Silva, Santa Cazorla etc. As a wide forward in Contes 4-3-3 or 3-4-3 he could be a great player or centrally behind the striker - granted we don’t really play that way.

I’d love Conte to find a way to make this fella work for us. I saw patches of real talent when he played for us. Very different proposition to have available. And he’s feisty and willing to put his foot in. Recall a couple of times winning the ball off Traore against Wolves when I thought he’d be hospitalised.

I hope so but that feels like a stretch.

At age 21 David Silva was an undisputed starter for a Champions league club and had 7 goals and 11 assists.

Bernardo Silva at the same age has 11 goals, 12 assists and got himself a 50million euro transfer to Man City.

Always expected him to get a full preseason with us. A preseason under Conte is going to strengthen him more than anywhere else. If he doesn’t do enough to prove he is ready this summer than a loan can be found late in the window.

Honestly the main concern is his size but he could bulk up a bit. Sarr is even smaller so expect him to go on loan. I guess the club will give them some dietary and exercise regime to get bigger. I think Gil could be a great alternative to Kulusevski on the right. I also think on occasions where we're pushing for a goal he could play left wing back. His crossing is very good and Richarlison is great in the air while Doherty (possibly Spence) offer a threat at the back post.

Diasgree, he looked lost on the right, he isn't a cut in inverted forward, he's a get to the byline player.

Agree with that - but the issue is: how often does that type of player get used these days?

In an old school 4-4-2, or with traditional wingers, great - but we don't do that, and nor do many teams

I agree, he may convert eventually but i am just not convinced by him tbh. I would sell him if someone wants him. Much rather gordon

Great to hear. We cannot give up on Bryan and Pape Sarr

I'd try him at LWB if I was Conte. He's a good touchline player and he could be useful to keep around if he proves he's got some versatility.
