With Lenglet coming in, we will have 22 Non HG players. 5 will need to be sold/loaned or not registered.

Just reading a thread on Twitter saying that Lavinier and Lyons-Foster can be called into the first team squad and named as locally trained players if needs be.

So could end up Winks + Tanganga + Clarke out and Spence (?) and Lavinier or Lyons-Foster in. If no other HG players are signed. Don’t know if anyone else with a better understanding of the rules than me can confirm that.

I'd say right now:

Gil - Loan
Sarr - Loan
Lo Celso - sale /loan with obligation
Ndombele - loan with option
Rodon - Sale / loan with obligation

Personally expect Regui or Emerson to leave. Can't imagine we can and want to keep six full backs happy.

Yeah I also expect at least one of Reguilon and Emerson to be sold. Possibly those 2 out and up to 2 more in.

Yeah - I think if we bring in more non-HG, Reggie leaves, but Emerson stays.

It's difficult though because Sess has had his injury issues so I would lean more towards keeping Reguilon over Emerson provided we get a right wing back. Although I guess Davies could cover as 3rd choice left wing back.

Would they be able to go onto the b list?
No point them taking a place in the a list if they can just stay on the b one.

I think the point was if Clarke, Tanganga and Winks leave and only Spence arrives that leaves us 2 short of naming the locally trained players required to name a full 25 man squad. And they would be two from the academy that would meet the age and length of time spent at the club criteria to make that up. Again I may be wrong.

That's not the point though.
We don't need to fill every space.
It's a max of 25 players, you can have a 22 man squad if that's all you can name.

If they can go onto the b list then they are already part of the squad.

Make sense to keep them around then. They can still play in the u21's and be spare players if needed.

That’s the point I was getting at. Them being eligible to make up our HG numbers if needed. I’d be surprised if we don’t want to name the full 25 as well. Expecting a good few to leave but we’re over already and can expect at least 3 more arrivals.

I'm really struggling to see how we are going to spend the 150m
So far net spend prob 50m, we need a right wing back and another cente half , but if tanganga and rodon go that's 30m, then GLC, maybe Emerson another 40m
Where else are we going to strengthen

We don't have to spend 150m , the money is there if we need it. Don't forget we have to pay for Romero and Reguilon this window too.
Most important is we fill the positions required not the money we spend.

I imagine a big chunk of that is covered by increased gate receipts. Now we’re finally seeing this on a regular basis post lock down.
