We are, it means Sporting would go through with the 8 points between the 3. We would only have 5 (win against Frankfurt, draw with them and draw with sporting).

I mean, we should be able to get a point away to Marseille. If we don't, we don't deserve to be in the CL anyway.

I'll try to explain it easier.
We are guaranteed at least EL because we can't get a scenario where both of Sporting and Frankfurt overtake us since they play each other.
Were we to lose and Sporting and Frankfurt draw, Marseille win the group on nine points and the other three teams are all on eight.
The head to head record between us, Sporting and Frankfurt will then result in Sporting finishing second, Spurs third and Frankfurt bottom.
If we get one point in Marseille, we go through and if the other game is also a draw we win the group. If we get three points, we win the group regardless.

Still very stung this morning -- so I went back to watch the highlights and just (as any good Spurs supporter does) relive my pain. And while I still object to where those lines were drawn to substantiate the offside claim ...
... I turn everyone's attention back to Spurs' FIRST goal, which ALSO required a VAR check for supposed interference. Replays show this is a LAUGHABLE claim -- Bentancur goes straight up in the air, his arm stays down, the GK runs into him and then flails onto the ground like a fish. A bang-on YC for simulation.
But instead? A lengthy review just to make sure there was no way they could overturn the Spurs goal. VAR is a joke.

Yeah the first goal we got, never should have gone to VAR, you could see in real time the keeper fluffed it. He gave up jumping so just crumbled to the ground in the hope he would get an arm on him but Bentancur jumps clean.

We finish 3rd in that scenario. (edited below as I missed point A on the regulations!)
UEFA regulations state:
If two or more teams are equal on points on completion of the group matches, the following criteria are applied in the order given to determine their rankings:
- higher number of points obtained in the group matches played among the teams in question;
If we draw, we finish 2nd, unless the other game is also a draw, in which case we are group winners
If we win, we are guaranteed to finish top of the group

Are UEFA removing our 3 points for beating OM at home when Richie got a brace as some sort of punishment for Contes red card? Think you will find we already have 8 points.
