That's some call early on with the "new ball" rule
We certainly are. We're good at rugby us Irish
Line out deep in Scotland territory was taken quickly by Scotland. Throw was long and picked up by Ireland who went over for a try. But it was ruled out because a different ball was used than the one which went out of play. What happened if you don't mind me asking? I missed most of the match unfortunately.

I don't like that rule tbh. Reckon the line out should be reversed because Scotland effectively got away with a major mistake and it wasn't Ireland's fault at all.
It didn't change anything in the long run but imagine had that been the last play of a very tight game. You said it better than me Gary !

Quality performance in that second half especially with all the injuries, didn't give the Scots a sniff. How the hell was Hogg not yellow carded in the first half? Hope Ringrose is ok, looked a really bad one.
Roll on next week.
Yeah seen that, be out for a while I'm sure though.Apparently he gave the thumb up when leaving the pitch on the stretcher
More often than not the team throwing in will win the line out and it wouldn't be an issue. However this time they didn't and the way it played out felt like Scotland got out of jail.I don't think it's a bad rule. Can't have any hints of home favoritism when it comes to making (or not making) the right ball available for lineouts.

He was to high and has led with elbow could have easily avoided the hit. The ref had already blown for EnglandVery harsh red IMO. As he said he just braced for the inevitable impact, which was unavoidable at that stage. His arm was at his side, so he didn't have his elbow outstretched or anything. It was just an unfortunate collision that meant there was head contact with his elbow.
