If appointing a manager earns him any sort of redemption then we fucking deserve everything we get for having the wool pulled over our eyes so meekly and so easily. I think he's got a lot more work to do than that.
He really shouldn't have this opportunity again.

But the only way, in my eyes, he claws back some credit is if;

1. He removes himself from his position and appoints a CEO (Barber) and DOF that work well with someone like Nagelsman. He provides the budget and sits back. He only gets involved if it looks like the CEO is out of control or is continually failing. He then finds a CEO to replace the previous one.
2. He hires a coach like Nagelsman or even Poch and really really backs him. No 5th rate options, only top choices and young potential with a lot of upside.

His excuse for Poch was the stadium.
His excuse for Jose was COVID.
His excuse for Conte was probably the short contract Conte was on and the likelihood he would combust.

The excuses have really dried up, he shouldn't be involved.

But seen as we have no choice, he will only get some credit back if he appoints Nagelsmann on a 3 year contract and backs him in the way Arteta has been backed at Arsenal.

Not backing the players when they complain.
Not realising you're in deep and no longer wish to back the coach.

Appoint the coach and make sure him and the DOF have total control over first team matters.

Nageslmann is genuinely one of the highest rated young managers in the world and would be an incredible coup by levy if he manages to get him.

I always think this with managers, but I don't know why they'd necessarily want to come to us, but I won't be arguing if nageslmann signs up!
Only if they back him!

Just watched the press conference of Tuchel at Bayern.

Classy, intelligent and sympathic by Tuchel. Kind of a shame we missed that boat, think he really is top tier.
We Spurs fans love a first interview don't we. Did he tell the Bayern fans he will make them proud?

Funny thing about this is I’ve never seen what Walker is supposed to have done wrong here.

He was honest, courteous and fronted up with Poch before anyone else. He never hinted he wouldn’t be committed for the rest of the campaign, but he had clearly and understandably made his mind up and wanted to show his boss the respect of being honest with him.

Others may see it differently but I’d have probably done the same in Walker’s position and been pretty shocked at Poch’s reaction.
It wasn't the action itself, it was the timing. All he had to do is wait 6 weeks for the season to end, but he put in a transfer request, not only when we were in a title race, but it was a few days before the FA Cup semi final.

I wanted him in the Nuno summer and I reckon we could have got him had Flick not got the Germany job at the time. Trying not to get too excited.

So excited by the possibility of JN coming in. He is tactically flexible enough to hopefully cover up for the squads shortcomings.

Please get it done Mr Chairman!

This is the future. First manager since Mauricio whose best days are ahead of him. I am very ready to get hurt again.
