Either Nik Kershaw or Dave Grohl is the new manager.
He has been everywhere, and literally done everything, for the past 12/15years.

Seriuosly, the guy should take a seat for a while and let other people do some stuff for a change.

Levy can sell the club to anyone of that I have no doubts. It's when it comes to transfer windows, that's when he has to prove his worth.

If appointing a manager earns him any sort of redemption then we fucking deserve everything we get for having the wool pulled over our eyes so meekly and so easily. I think he's got a lot more work to do than that.
Appointing a good manager is a start, but the proof is definitely in the pudding. It’s got to be better than a Nuno situation.

If Julie Nails Man turns out to be a success sure Levy will get a bit of credit, but it’ll be a long while before we have any idea of that.

Odds Watch;

Nagelsmann 1/3
Mason 9/4 (this might be worth a nibble now if we get wind it's a summer appointment for JN)

Would be really excited about Nagelsmann. Think he does not require 10 new players to get results and is way more flexible and modern.

Hopefully we can seal this

Massively biased but I think we make a lot of sense for him.

- One of the only clubs in Europe than can match his Bayern salary.
- Big stadium, elite training ground, London lifestyle.
- Expectations will be (relatively) low, certainly compared to Bayern, Madrid, PSG, etc.
- Will be given decent money to spend. Not crazy money, but can build a squad.
- If he wins anything here he's a legend. If he wins multiple trophies at the aforementioned clubs he's done the bare minimum.

I do think that if the Chelsea job became available he'd presumably just go there instead as he would get most of the same benefits as he would here but with a higher salary and an endless pot of money to resource his squad building. Therefore I think we need to pin him down sooner rather than later in case Potter shits the bed over the next 2 months (I don't think Boehly would outright sack him just to get Nagelsmann, but in the summer hell knows?).

If he does come and we have even an ounce of common sense, this is the time we (both fans and board) need to be patient and stick with the manager through thick and thin. Conte, Jose and Nuno were never going to be long term guys, but a young manager like Nagelsmann is exactly the type you allow to build something, even if they aren't perfect and make mistakes along the way.

Considering who Paratici has apparently wanted for our managers I hope he doesn’t get anywhere near this appointment. I wish his formal ban got announced weeks ago just so I could have peace of mind he won’t go for Tony Pulis or some shit.

I do think there is sometimes a little underestimation of our squad. Including those on loan.

There is a lot of young talent. And seasoned professionals. I think a coach like Nagelsmann can get more out of this set of players if the tactics switch to being more of a front foot team. As we have the players to do that.

He will also have a decent budget, between what money is currently available and player sales.

Given the way his teams play, it’s clear that the two biggest holes will be an upgrade at left sided center back, and an attacking/creative midfielder.

plus, of course Lloris will need replacing.

The above would also apply to Poch.

Nageslmann is genuinely one of the highest rated young managers in the world and would be an incredible coup by levy if he manages to get him.

I always think this with managers, but I don't know why they'd necessarily want to come to us, but I won't be arguing if nageslmann signs up!
