One of Levy’s biggest follies is that he’s made us a club where players won’t get sold if they perform really well, and we’re not a club ho spends enough to guarantee being in the mix for the biggest honours.

So, if you’re a promising up and coming player why do you sign for us? If you come here and smash it, you know Levy will make it hard for you to leave if City or Bayern or Real come in. But you also know that it’s highly unlikely we’ll be competing with those clubs for the biggest prizes. It’s a real talent turn-off.

If we do appoint Ange, the fan behaviour at games needs to be a bit more nuanced imo. Get behind the team and Ange as much as possible, whilst making our feelings known to Levy. A good example would be if we were 4-0 up playing swashbuckling football yet still positively chanting for Levy to get out of the club.

We don't have to damage the team's fortunes to get angry at Levy. Having these things intertwined is exactly what Levy wants as fans become reluctant, but it doesn't have to be that way. It could help us create a siege mentality of fuck you Daniel we're going to thrive in spite of your clown show.

Sort of in contrast to the recent actual financial accounts audited by Deloitte, how can you be profitable if losing money ?

2020 loss £63.9 million
2021 loss £83.8 million
2022 loss £50.1 million

accounting 101. Post a small loss for tax avoidance purposes whilst masking the huge amounts of cash going through the business in assets, depreciation,, dividends and so on. A business can be massively profitable without actually posting that fact.

Tbh I think the fans just won’t have much patience with the manager. Unless we go out and really bring in some special players (which we won’t) then i think the tension from last season will be bubbling just below the surface. Of course if we get off to a good start then it will go, but I’m just not convinced we will regardless who we bring in. Maybe if we had brought in Nagelsmann he’d get more time. But I honestly don’t think fans will give much to Ange or Enrique especially if we don’t look great. And that doesn’t account for the mood if Kane pushes through a move.

How we’ve become such a mess since getting the CL final is nothing short of gross negligence.
Utterly depressing

Levy's thrown the towel on any sporting ambition. The appointment of Postecoglu and how that came about tells you all you need to know.
To dare is too dear, so Levy has just stopped trying altogether.

The most important manager search since…..his last f**k up…….and hes managed to make a sh*tshow of this as well. The man demands control over everything, and manages to cause issues in every department. We lurch from disaster to disaster and nothing ever changes.

Sadest part for me is how passive our support is. We just let it happen

This appointment has to be Levy’s last stand. With the previous appointments (aside from Nuno) he has been able to distance himself from obvious blame - Two high quality managers that didn’t meet expectations.

Now he has seemingly hired someone who should be in the running for a Leicester/Leeds/Palace position, if this goes wrong then he needs to go, can’t hide anymore.

Mate whether he hires Ange, Nagelsmann or Poch and it fails he isn't going anywhere unless someone gives him 5 billion.

Whilst this is true, I think there's a nuance to it - if everything is hunky-dory then there's no incentive to sell for £5bn, no reason to talk to potential investors, no reason to consider a reasonable offer - just keep going, growing the price.

If there is pressure, scrutiny, and the whole thing starts to feel like it's more trouble than it's worth then maybe he would be more willing to entertain potential buyers. A decent offer becomes more attractive, cash out on a high.

Fans don't have the money to buy the club, but they can play a role in making the idea of selling the club more appealing to the current ownership.

So, I don't think fan unrest/protest is necessarily in vain in it's entirety even if it's not going to magic up a solution.

That's if the fans want regime change enough of course, and I'm not sure enough do, yet.

Concerned that Levy will use Postacoglou as an excuse to invest fuck all again. If he'd bought in Nagelsmann or Enrique he'd have been forced to spend but with Ange he'll be expecting him to trawl around the lower leagues unearthing gems.

Yeah a bit worried about this too, and expecting the loanees to come back and be given another chance with a 'proper' coach - all the while shopping around the bargain bins of Leicester and Southampton etc... with the spin of "We've looked at our errors in the transfer market over previous seasons and have transformed our approach with a focus on youth and developing players..." i.e we're not spending the Kane money

I wouldn't mind if shopping in Leicester's bargain bin netted us Maddison and Barnes, but I'm pretty sure it won't.

I am not a Levy apologist, but I don't think it's an excuse - I think we will have a limited budget this summer. And that may be why we see more ambitious managers shy away from the job.

When do we not have a limited budget? If we want to get back in amongst it we have to give the manager the tools to get the job done. If Levy doesn't want to give the tools to his designated manager, he's appointed the wrong bloke. If he doesn't support Postecoglou properly he's setting him up to fail because I'm pretty sure Ange would be 110% committed unlike the last 2 permanent managers.
