I have not watched much of Kudus but I have of Eze although admittedly much moreso in his QPR days.
I cannot see how and where these two would fit into the new manager's system - could someone enlighten me please ?

Knowing spurs and the way we hve operated in past transfer windows, we are currently at 0 net spend roughly..

meaning any incomings are going to be generated from players being sold from here on. the Kane money is spent.

If that’s true then I can only see one or two incoming at max because we’re usless at selling players. Orban for example.

People are speaking about 7 upwards leaving or being sold - I just don't see that happening even with the craziness that comes at the end of a window.
I am sure Lloris will find a home. Rodon has gone. We know Atleti like PEH but have no idea if they will stump up the cash for him. the it seems as though Tanguy is going anywhere as I don't think he really wants to. Then we have heard nothing concrete about Japhet leaving or indeed Regi. We cannot release or sell Gil or Sess when they have medium length injury concerns.
I don't think at this stage I would expect Dav to leave and actually I am not sure I would want him especially without a new defender in the door.
I find it hugely frustrating with regards to the club line about not wanting to sign players until more have left BUT I DO UNDERSTAND IT. This is as a result of total squad and football mismanagement over the last3-4 years, the blame of which I cannot solely place at Daniel's door.

We currently have 20 non-HGs (over 21). So even with no incomings, three will not make the PL squad.
I would suspect that presumably should motivate at least some of them to accept a move.
Having said that, I could imagine that some of them may wait until last minute to make their decision.
We would also need to move on a few HGs (currently 10 over 21s), if we register the maximum of 17 non-HG.

Cant Saudi Arabia create a new team and start this lot?

Above squad has 17 foreigners, and as far as i'm aware only Maddison, Skipp and Forster will have to be registered in addition to that, leaving us with 20 man squad? We might be left with problems next summer however as I think Sarr and Udogie would then have to be registered. If we qualify for Europe also, the rules are a lot more stringent. We could really do with bringing through another academy player, or making a move for a player like Edwards.

I’d be amazed if Gil leaves considering he’s injured so it would probably cut our non HG incoming to 2. I also think Davies will stay but he’s HG.

Edit: seems Orban wouldn’t need to be registered so we would indeed have 3 spots anyway

Out of curiosity, as he’s 21 would Orban need to be registered? He only just turned 21 in July and wouldn’t be turning 22 until after the season finishes.

Still classed as under 21. Cut off point is 1st Jan of This year.

To clarify re the squad. Presuming Tanganga Spence and Harvey White will go, sold or loaned, we have 5 hg
Forster..Austin..Skipp..Maddison…Davies. Sessegnon Gives us a max of 23 which is well enough because Sarr and Doggie are under 21 but will be used as part of the first team squad While not in the numbers.
Sess is currently injured so cannot see him moving anywhere.
Gil has had a groin op so will be staying till Xmas at least. They may just not name him in the squad if he’s going to be out for a few months.
we will have to be careful with the numbers loaned out because the max of over 21 loans is down to 7 This season.
we already have Rodon out at Leeds.
will have to bite the bullet on some fees for players or we will be stuck with them.
Man Utd just sold Fred to Turkey for around £13m. Played loads of games for Utd and cost 50m originally.
we cannot expect to get near that for Ndombele. Who has done very little in last two years on loan.
anything near 10m euros ……snap their hands off.
some people on here seem obsessed with club trained for euro tournaments. Let’s worry about it when we get there.

Sess and Gil get a pass as they are injured and I assume Ange hasn't seen enough of them to know if he can get a tune out of them in this system.

I agree on Davies but if we bring in another CB I hope we don't keep him. I would spend the bulk of the Kane money on a quality CB then if Udogie is injured or needs a rest we can shift Micky over to keep him playing. He is a better fit at both LB and CB than Davies with his pace. Being out of Europe we can get away without two players for every position, and then we can create room for youngsters and create a tight knit squad.

We've got far too many players imo. Doesn't make for a healthy atmosphere as players are naturally going to agitate to play. Ange needs to be honest with some and make some decisions. And when he has Levy has to ensure they are moved on at cut prices if needs be.

I'd still like to see the following outs:

Hugo
Dier - deserves better than he is getting, but also time to turn the page
Reguilon
Hojbjerg
Ndombele

I'd keep Sanchez (assuming Dier goes). And, if my numbers are correct, that would leave us with room for 2 non-HG players.

But, we still need a F, a CB, and a CM (ideally a 6)

if Gil is healthy enough to move prior to the deadline, I could go for a loan/option with him - if we need the spot to bring in another non-HG forward/winger.


Either way - it looks like at least 1 of our key remaining signings will have to be HG.
