Great win today. Started poorly and allowed Burnley onto us which lead to the early goal. It became a bit end to end with chances either end. Then around 20-25 mins in we started to gain control. The Son goal was so well taken, a finish I don't think we see enough from him as usually he drills these efforts. I just felt we were too wasteful with the chances we made but I was loving the quick passing and then movement forward for the return ball. The 2nd goal came just at the right time as with the amount of forward play we gained we needed to be in front to show for it.

2nd half was far better from the start, we increased the tempo and I think Burnley making a defensive change played further into our hands. When we got the 3rd we didn't slow down which was a real plus for me. We pressed for the 4th and 5th which came quickly together. I loved the variation in each attack. There really are multiple avenues, whether counter breaks, long balls from the keeper, angled balls from midfield, defenders coming out with the ball or the interchanges between the front 3. Maddison really took control that 2nd half, even the way he picked the ball up deep and played the ball quickly then moved for the ball and passed forward to Porro who then assisted Son.

The only thing that was a shame was how after 5-1 and the changes with Hojbjerg and Perisic we lost our flow a bit. The tempo came down where I feel the idea of the subs at 5-1 was to bring fresh energy. It might sound silly at 5-1 but I would like to see us keep pressing for more goals. That for me will make us better and I think that will come in time. Instead it kind of felt like we went to protect a lead which is not necessary when you have a 4 goal cushion. It just allowed Burnley to play back into the game towards the end and get a goal. That just adds an unnecessary negative feel at the end even though we've thrashed them 5-2.

Loving this brand of football. It's a funny one too because the more attacks we make the more it will also be frustrating to not score every time. We've scored 5 away from home yet had chances for more. I think the shift for Son up top makes a lot of sense now. The wide position doesn't fit him so well but his movement roaming central is causing all sorts of problems for defence. Then when a game opens up he's perfect for playing on the shoulder of the last defender. He just suits both ways of playing, front foot possession or counter football. Soloman was pretty disappointing really but it's early days and he hasn't played much. Kulusevski is intelligent and strong on the ball but lacks a bit of end product. Those wide positions are up for grabs when Johnson and Gil are there too.

Maddison my MOTM today. Took control when we needed him too, scored a wonderful goal and then went looking for the ball and influenced the game to allow us to push for more goals. It really allowed to kill the game when 3-1 can turn into a tricky game if they get one back later on.

Brilliant start and we all would’ve taken 10 points from the first 4, unbeaten and that’s with playing 3 away from home as well.

The League cup is a distant memory and it will appear as a blip when we look back (totally understand fans have a variety of points of getting over a defeat like that), also this was losing on penalties with a totally different side obviously not up to it.

Son getting that hat trick will hopefully mean (injuries permitting) that he can aim for that golden boot season in 2021/22. Also goals coming from all over the pitch helps too. What a change of philosophy does in a matter of months.

So excited for the games after the international break, carry on that momentum into the Sheffield United home game and sets us up well for the Woolwich and Liverpool games.

The thing is the team is only just beginning to click, very interesting seeing how we go from here (a lot in the Prem now will be thinking that lot will be hard to play against) and even better with an average of a one game a week schedule too. Not predicting anything as I hate all that, however, I just know every game we play with that approach. As Ange keeps saying: relentless. Loving it, COYS!!!

The reason we’re doing so well atm is because our players are not afraid of going past their man, like having a team of Dembele’s. That creates so much more space.

But when you bring on Skipp, Hojberg and Richarlison you lose that ability. They have to pass back and you see Conte tactics creeping back in. As long as they’re only used to see out games it shouldn’t be a problem.

Just watched the goals. We all know Son can finish. He should definitely be the CF. He's absolutely clinical.

The energy from Maddison is infectious and the team is being elevated.

I also want to say Solomon's two assists for Son might look simple, but I think they're brilliant. Great, composed decision making and knew when to release the ball for the opening.

Great to see. What a difference we are this season already. Big up Ange.

Loved that. Yeah we take risks which can be miss a heartbeat moments but by god we look dangerous every time we go forward.

What a save by Vic. What a finish from Son, What a howitzer from Romero. Never mind darts, Maddison should get himseolf a conductor's baton.
Thinking Ange won’t put up with lapses in concentration and those who keep doing it will be dropped like a bad apple.

Recovered from a sluggish start to completely dominate the game. In truth we should have scored quite a few more goals - Son could easily have had a double hat trick!
Some great performances all over the pitch. Romero and VDV were imperious at the back, Udogie is just so good and Maddison ran things. Solomon with 2 assists will do wonders for his confidence and he’s a good option on the left- less so in the right.
11 goals in 4 games, 3 of which were away is good by anybody’s standards. How are we going to replace Kane’s goals; by having Postecoglou as our manager:ROFLMAO:.

Without Kane we are facing relegation, think I have read that a few times on various threads.

For years there was too much reliance on Kane & Sonny now like other teams who don't have 20 goal plus strikers were sharing goals around , reckon carry on like this and Udogie & Porro will get on the scoresheet soon.
Shame about the rubbish international break , roll on Sheff Utd game

Richy could find himself behind Son and BJ before long if he doesn't find some form. Might be best to play him at wing going forward.

I think Richy now realizes that he has had more than enough chances to cement a place in the starting eleven.

When you look at the quality of each of those goals today, could anyone have seen Richy finish any of those chances?

Porro passing was fantastic the whole game.

I said last season, that he needed time to settle, but you could see glimpses of the quality that Paratici saw in him.

Terrific signing who will only get better, and at just twenty three is good for the next decade.
