This front three severely lacks a goal threat. Kulu/Richy have been totally anonymous and Johnson is a graduate of the Aaron Lennon school of shooting.

Udogie our best player once again. Has he ever lost a 50/50?

Very, very limited and tame. Brennan is getting some joy down his side but all in all we look a little lost tonight

Far too many backwards passing, a couple of quick passes forward/sideways into space and we might create something. Seems far too casual for us that half.

I think Kulu is only better central if there is space to run into. Burnley are sitting too deep for Kulu to be central.

Its his one touch passing thats great in those situations...did you watch the Villa game?

I’m genuinely serious about Skipp, he runs around like a headless chicken in this system, no one wants to pass to him and his movement is so poor as is his passing, please hook him at half time and put Kulu there.
so many coaches say he's a future captain etc but I think its his good behaviour. he has never fit in ANY system ANY coach has played. He's like a dog after a bone so chases the ball all over the park at a rate of knots and probably has 4 lungs but contributes very little wholistically & tends to ruin our playing patterns

Thought we had a really good intense 10 minute spell but apart from that it's reverted to type, football by numbers.
This is why you need those unpredictable players, we miss Maddison and even VdV and Romero building from the back.

Watching Richarlison, we’ve really been spoiled having Kane. Kane would score half chances. Richarlison literally needs it on a plate. We could do with a deadly striker. Even one with outright pace to at least stretch teams.

It looks like the absence of Maddison, Son, Romero, VDV, and Bissouma is somehow affecting the team?

A significant issue is our front 3 just don't seem confident to score

Summed up by Johnson trying an impossible through ball to udogie instead of shooting. Was so obvious that Udogie made the run to make space for a shot

We can't have a front 3 so shot shy

I wonder if more and more tourist type fans take tickets now as unless it’s a game against a top 6 team or london rival the atmosphere inside the stadium has been poor from our fans which is a shame because the football has been very good.

Usually the same for early cup games, hardly any of the usual season ticket holders around me today.
