Ange is a genius with what he has been with Davies and Royal. Royal MOTM for me brilliant seemed to win every header and cover Porro really well.

Not pretty... toothless in attack.. but very important victory, good effort and world class goal... Emerson and Davies were immense tonight... and important that they had Vicario behind them. Not that he had much to do. It just gives them security. COYS... on to the next round.

Defensively we were good I thought. It really helps having a keeper as calm as Vic, but Emerson played really well alongside Davies today. I do think we were a bit shit up top today. I don't think the front 3 really gelled. Still result is important today just glad there is no replay.

Job done, played well for most of it but lacked the edge, and a bonus scare at the end per standard.
We have a tendency to overplay a lot and make an extra touch or pass instead of shooting the ball from great positions. In general, I feel the decision making is where we can improve the most.

Terrible game. Wonderful goal. Another win with half a team. Hopefully we get non-EPL opponents in the 4th Round - would be ridiculous bad luck to be drawn against top division opponents in all 3 cup ties this season!
