But we,re we? We were sloppy compared to what? Conte? Jose? Nuno?

i take positives I like knowing what we are trying to do? We have main players out, I enjoyed that whole game. Compared to the last season we are feed.
No no, of course not. Sloppy is definitely extreme if you are looking at it through that lense. I just meant we didn’t quite have our final balls dialed in and didn’t execute in final 3rd as well as we could. Absolutely positive about the overall direction of the club.

No injuries and no suspensions(unprecedented this season), also happy some of the kids got some minutes.

Can't really complain considering how many are out.
I think some of us don’t know how many of our 1st team where out, 5 players? IMO it was a great result.

and maddison, johnson has potential but he needs to work on his composure.
i mean the front 3.

vicario, porro, romero, vdv, udogie, bissouma/bentancur, sarr, maddison and son are all of a similar quality relative to their positions.

lw and rw aren't at that level, richy at 9 isn't either.

we score a lot because we commit so many players forward. a lot of our goals come from overloads and forcing the opposition into errors, rather than sheer quality.

he had a few good moments

his Head drops, and doesn’t influence the game enough, I don’t think he looks for the ball he expects it to find him.

yes def

we need to put earlier balls in and shoot.

we mess around to much in the final third

it doesn’t feel like we have anyone who can score

it may have been discussed already, but what was the cameraman altercation that the commentator referred to? He mentioned it just as the second half was starting.

it may also have been mentioned, but Lee Dixon is a nobber.

Just a joke about Ian Wright and a cameraman. Nothing to do with our game.

Was it a reference to VAR? If so it was a joke about a clip shown of Ian Wright and a camera man falling over they they were showing during half time.

Porros goal reminded me of carrs v United

Think porros was better
Porro’s goal was technically better, but both incredible strikes.

Only thing which ruined the perfection of Porro’s strike was the microphone being too close to the goal, preventing the ball from swishing around the net in a satisfying manner.

A rather tepid affair all round.

Felt like we fell into a bit of a trance, induced by Burnley's general lack of urgency, pressure, and guile. It's like they set the tempo, and we adhered. Which we don't normally do. But for whatever reason we got lured into their indifference.

Overall it was a dull performance, that was always going to be won by either a worldie or some truffle scuffle on the goal line.

Positives: Bentancur at 80% is better than 90% of the midfielders in the PL. Emerson had a great game. Davies did well. Porro played consistently throughout. Vic was Vic. PEH showed just how much better he is than Skipp with his first contribution that ultimately led to Porro's goal.
Mehs: Richy put in a shift, but looked uncomfortable in the final third. Lo Celso was up-and-down all game. Some nice moments, some not so nice moments. Brennan has resting Sessegnon face. Needs to find his inner Eye of the Tiger. As he plays scared. Deki looked strangely labored all game long. Wonder if he is carrying a small knock. And Udogie was okay. Also seemed to be suffering with a case of the blahs.
Negs: Skippy is lost as an 8. Wasn't a good game from him at all. Sess look petrified. Bryan really has nothing to offer. No pace. No strength. No guile. Just... nowt.

Best thing though... we're through to the next round, and that's all that matters.

As for the Davies hamstring stuff. Let's not lose our collective shit just yet. He played the game out. So it can't have been that bad.

For me, the biggest negative was that we still have no idea how to break down a packed defence. Worldies aside, I mean. We had a lot of good, controlled possession around the edge of their box, but no obvious tactics for that situation. It's not as though it isn't a common situation for us...

If anyone would like an omen, the last time we won the FA Cup (91) we won 1-0 in the 3rd round against a northern team beginning with B (Blackpool).
Pretty much ours to lose…..

They showed a clip of Ian Wright playing for Burnley and a cameraman tripping up
