If Berbs goes to Milan and they don't have CL football. Screw him. I don't care if he leaves for a CL side, but screw him if he leaves for a UEFA Cup team. And if he does, I hope we play them and make him pout all over the pitch. I respected Berbs and would still if he left for a CL side, but that is shit.

To be fair though, Milan in the UEFA Cup still has massive pulling power... Look at Flamini for example... Plus last season Bayern München signed big players like Ribéry, Klose and Toni despite only being in the UEFA Cup...

If this is true I'm glad it's AC and not an English club.

The milan only being in the uefa cup argument is crap. They will be in the CL again next season if they dont make it this season, and Berba would still get many seasons playing CL footy so one season of uefa cup would not be a major issue.

Because it's only a kit unveiling? Assuming the reasons given for him not playing at Reading are true (groin injury) then we're hardly likely to get him to go strutting around modelling the new kit...

Sorry, I assumed the best players in the world were in it for trophies and money, not kit launches...
yeah but thats just one the man reasons.. we know he's going, you're just in denial.

he did last seasons kit unveiling.

i'm guessing a year in Milan playing with Kaka and having a genuine chance of winning the UEFA cup is more appealing than one more year at spurs.

Come on be real, firstly Milan probably will have CL football.

Even if they didn't they are a club so big historically and in real terms that they transend the CL. They are one of the biggest clubs in the world and have been so for years.

They are leagues a head of us in terms of prestiege and almost every player would love to play for them, certainly them over us (unless said player was a massive spurs fan or English and not wishing to play abroad).

If Berbatov has the chance to go and play for them of course he will snap their hand off for it.

Even if all goes well for us next year we will be struggling for a top four place and hoping for some success in a cup where as Milan will be reborn and be in with a chance of winning everything (even CL if they are in it)

Milan are a huge club, even being in the Uefa for one season will not tarnish that (plus they probably wont even be in it) They were champions last year, lost the final on penalties 2 years before that, they are a massive club on a par with any of the big guns in Europe.

Also, football is a game of opinions of course, but I cant see how anyone truely thinks King is a better footballer then Berbatov. King is great and an excellent servant for our club but Berbatov is head and shoulders above any other member of our squad in terms of talent and quality (thats why the big clubs are knocking after him and no one else)

Im sure if you asked every football expert in the world who is our best player the overwhelming result would be Berbatov. (dont let your heart rule your head, its obvious Berbatov is better imo)

Chelsea had Ashley Cole, Ballack and SWP for their kit launch, so I suppose that means Lampard, Drogba and a bunch of others are off then?

Seriously, whether Berbatov stays or goes, him not being present for the kit launch will have absolutely nothing to do with it, and suggesting otherwise is as retarded as the Sun claiming Jol wasn't on the Spurs Monopoly board because he was going to be sacked...

Nice one Levy sell him to european club when euro is so high-80p/euro as apposed to 60p/euro a year ago.
This means we can buy British cheaper? Ashton anyone?

Milan is a step-up from Spurs in quality and status - I dont think there is any doubt about that. I dont begrudge the man for wanting to ply his trade in a bigger market. I also dont think he's been dishonest about his intentions or behaved badly during the process. The real challenge is to get Spurs to the point where people want to come and stay.

Anyone thinking Milan are not going to be in the CL next season or are a step sideways would be well advised to see their excellent performance against Inter (who will win the league) last weekend. Berba in that side would be immense. Especially with Flamini replacing some of the aging legs in the middle of the park.

I'm with Flatters (no, wait...) Gattuso would be terrific for us. If we could get something like 25m + him, I'd be chuffed to biscuits.

Well, not meaning to be devil's advocate, but Drogba is heavily rumoured to be leaving, yes, and it was probably agreed that Lampard had enough on his plate at the moment. John Terry? Well, he's signing for Spurs, obviously

I fucking hope not. He can be backup to Dervitte if he does, and then killed anyway.

Absolutely nothing in La Gazetta dello Sport - would have thought they'd be reporting this by now if there was anything to it
