You're really polite. I don't hide behind red crosses. I made a statement that I didn't like your comment. Are you always so abrasive?
I think to be fair that Gio and Bentley have demonstrated a poor attitude. In that respect they were bad buys and frankly not the types of player I would want near my squad. Harry's line about Gio - (paraphrased) 'If he could pass a bar as well as he could pass a ball' - is a classic one-liner and worth Gio's transfer fee alone (okay, I exaggerate). That's why these two don't 'get' chances: they have had their chances and blown it. As much as they earn, I think both would benefit from having their egos taxed.

Favourites? aka is picking your best players aka being a good manager. If it fits your agenda fill your boots

None of those players are anywhere near good enough to replace the current occupants of the jerseys.

Before anyone mentions rotation, we weren't in Europe like Chelsea, City, United, Arse so if people need rotated with a schedule of pretty much 1 game a week then it's not rotation they need it's selling(n)

A decent coach will rotate players. It allows the better players to be rested at times so that they can be more effective. This coach plays his so-called 'top' players so much that in the end they lose their effectiveness. Think back to last season and look at the performances at the beginning of the season and the performances at the end of the season.

England always trots out the excuse that its players are too tired to perform effectively at World Cups because of the rigours of the Premier League. Is there some truth to that? Perhaps.

The season is a marathon. Not a sprint. This coach just plays his top players till they're not as effective. More intelligent coaches will rotate in less impressive players so that everyone is just a little fresher. And that leads to greater success in the longer term.

I would say that Redknapp would be a decent coach for a team like West Ham or Portsmouth (how much did he win there?) but when a Club like Spurs has ambitions to fight battles on a number of fronts the Club needs a coach who can manage a large squad. That person is not Redknapp. The Club needs a new coach.

I'm not sure what the poor attitude is. But obviously GDS has pissed off the coach. And this coach certainly knows what to say to the media to get his point across. He's media savvy. But a good coach would harness that talent and use it effectively for the good of the Club. Work with the players. Inspire them. Make them better. Can there be a worse case of attitude in a player than Balotelli? I think Mancini is crazy to keep him - but he's worked with him and the player has contributed.

Whilst I agree with the philosophy of rotation, no one outside our first 11 has the quality of our first 11. Good players, but not good enough. With points at stake, we need to be all out, even against the norwich's and qpr's as our defeats suggest...,

I have a sneaky feeling that dude who claimed itk in the front page thread re: erikson being the main target has weight, especially in light of the bacon (Danish) crypto :)

Balotelli is potentially world class and can do many brilliant things which cancels out or at least gives him breathing space to work with.

Dos Santos is gash. He was gash for Barcelona, he's been mostly gash for us bar a couple of appearances in the Europa and one against Cheltenham. He's been gash for 90% of his time out on loan bar about 8 games when he played in the Championship and was 'ok'.

People need to get over Dos Santos, yet another wrong horse that we backed.

I think that the Goat has started saying "Not from the usual source" when referring to info passed on by someone other than JJ.

And also JJ said on the Vertonghen thread that he could hear the sound of hooves coming, so it's defo from him.

There have been so many issues with Gio - his nightclubbing habits; his parents coming over and swearing he was gonna knuckle down (so, obviously, there was a problem there), then going straight into whingeing about not playing; being far from impressive when he got chances; going out on loan and meh; agreeing a fee with Udinese, and then him trying to force us to accept less than a third of it from Seville - and then whingeing that we had prevented him from moving.

As for Bentley, I defended his footballing ability on here endlessly - even at the start of last season (before he went out on loan), praying that he would actually come good and show some of the ability he clearly has. But I'm afriad that the truth seems to be (from what I know of/have seen of him, right back to pre-Blackburn - don't know the guy, personally), that he seems like a bit of a twat and very egotistical.

I so much wanted both of them to succeed. Now, I really don't see where they can go from here, except that a future at the Lane seems about as likely as Margaret Thatcher being uncovered as Lord Lucan

FFS, you reasonable sod, why can't you be all hair pulling and negativity like a normal person! ;)

I'll get there if we fuck up this window believe me :)

I think we are very close to something special at Spurs and I'll be annoyed if we don't make that final step because of some indecision from Harry or some penny-pinching from Levy.

But I think 6 days into the transfer window may be a bit early to start levelling those sorts of accusations at either Harry or Levy...I dunno...maybe I should cross over to the dark side (or the Ashcroft side as it will soon be known).

think the Goat has a few "usual sources" that the mods have checked out and feel are reliable, it says "not from a usual source" when it's from someone new normally.

Then i think they need to stop quoting JJETSET posts too. It doesnt make sense seeing ITK info from him earlier and then alledgedly him via the goat.

I havent seen anything anywhere that says Goat will put not from sual source if it isnt JJ

The Journalist has been on. Hmmm...

Conflicting on Lloris when a few people on here who know say that Krul is our target and we're not even interested in Lloris.

Remy stalling? I dont know what to think there. I don't know how possible it is for Levy to work on the Vertonghen, Remy, Adebayor, Lloris and Leandro deals at the same time while trying to negotiate a good price for Krancjar to Russia.

It's all going to take time.

It's been said numerous times from A&C that JJ's info will go through the goat, however JJ has posted a few times outside of the goat.

You shut that shit down ok.

I'm with you. A bit of trust in the men in charge is what we need. Lets face it we've been on a pretty good ride these last 3 1/2 years with them, so I see no reason to panic just yet.
