I'm sorry but this must be very randy viewing to outside fans looking in.

Current first page threads include:

AVB: Spurs should be ashamed
We shouldn't of bothered spending £100m
AVB, listen to me...
AVB out
A question for all those who want AVB out?
Who would you replace Avb with if you had the chance?

Today was very painful, we might have lost anyway so at least our points difference is not damaged. But the high octane reaction we are looking for from our players and manager is mainly coming from our forum fans!

Other threads include:

Who do you blame?
Holtby - The mystery
boring, boring ... tottenham?
Szczesny (!?)

And may I remind you that on the 9th of November, not even 3 fixtures ago - the thread:
"Give AVB a new contract." was created, receiving 54 agree ratings.

Perspective people, perspective.

PS: Please don't reply that AVB is the one who needs perspective...;)

EDIT: I come back to SC, today after my Sunday hangover has worn off, and my perspective has changed a bit. I think I was being a little soft! :hungover:

I dont mind positive threads but WTF is point of this one.

So what if 54 people agreed he needed a new contract, there are much more than 54 people on this forum

The one bit of perspective I want to provide is that we're still only two points off fourth and four off second. Things look bad because of two awful games and a less than inspiring start to the season performance-wise, but I really think people are over-reacting a bit and I genuinely think that this group of players and the manager can turn this around.

Please if someone started a thread saying we are only one point behind united and 3 behind 4th, have perspective. I would of said yes this guys right, we can do this but no it wasnt that!

I looked and looked again for the proper place to put this short analysis, but oculdnt find it. Better than those who post multiple AVB threads saying the same thing, when a lot of them could simply be added to the official match thread / post analyis thread.

A couple of things to note are we won't get top four this year and avb is not the man to lead us forward to a brave new winning era.

You're pissing into the wind, today seb. Unfortunately, today's result is grist to the mill for those who would far prefer AVB sacked than for him to succeed, even if that damages the club in the process.

I think the problem is that a lot of people predicted the worst after our generally mediocre performances last season, and now those predictions look like they're coming true.

We scraped through several games at the beginning of the season, but playing like that can only work for so long.

I do agree with what you're saying but I won't judge too harshly after a game away at the by far best home side in the league, regardless of the shambolic result. Another three or four similar performances and results against weaker sides and I will be grinding my axe just like it seems most people are.

here's a little perspective: we havent scored a goal in the prem from open play since September. thats not going to win many games with any manager.

I dont think anyone predicted this, I think we expected the improvements to happen with this no longer being a transition season

Honestly some of these defensive threads are amazing.

6-0

We are not fucking Crystal Palace we are Tottenham and to accept the shit we have been dished up all season after spending 100million would be absolutely ridiculous.

Believe me people have been holding back on having a go at AVB but 6-0 I couldnt give a shit if they were Barcelona I am not having it that this is ok or somewhat a learning event for a young manager.

I am also not having the bullshit about well once we had Justin Edinburgh or we were relegated I dont care we as fans should never accept getting buttfucked the way we were today when it had been coming for weeks.

Without the penalties where would we be rofl honestly there is some perspective!

The fact remains that very little has changed. This isn't a case of where you can see our attacking potential and results are going against us and some are impatient and are lashing out. The problems continue to persist irrespective if we lost 2 nil today, or 6.

The question is how long are we prepared to wait until it does. I'm prepared to wait but we have to see some evidence of change very soon.

Perspective is about appraising the situation objectively, not burying our heads in the sand.
