Definitely a dive, he gave the ref a knowing nod as he walked past.

That said he was involved in everything good we did today and really pushed the team forward.

Or even he was expecting contact and therefore set his body up for contact and then when I didn't come it was too late so he fell over

But then crucially he didn't appeal so he can't be accused of trying to deceive the ref, where was the deception?

But yes as you say his reputation proceeds him
exactly how it went down he say lovren bumbling towards him and thought he was in for a wolloping. It was ott malicous, he was just anticipating contact.

I still think he should be carded bc that's the riskes you take as a player who is always looking to go down at every opprotunity.

One note I will say about diving.

I'm not or anywhere near a professional player by any standards, but I have played with very experienced players on occasion, some retired pros. Under pressure to score a goal, even great players get off balance and fall. I don't believe losings ones footing or getting off balance while trying to shoot constitutes a dive. Alli's dive did not warrant a yellow imo. In fact, Kane took more of a dive when he rounded the goalkeeper as he was deliberately exploiting the good chance of collision with Karius.

Final note.

I think Dele's "diving" is seriously blown out of proportion. He has a problem controlling his tackles, attitude and challlenges though. I love the aggression but I don't like any footballer, even Spurs, putting the potential end of a career for another. That being said, oh did I damn love the kick out it at Sanchez on Wednesday. Harmless but so effective in riling up opponents.

As for today vs Liverpool, I thought Dele was actually outstanding. For some reason it went under the radar of Jan being a beast etc but he really did cause so many problems for Liverpool.

He's starting to put together really good well-rounded performances. He's not relying on only goal scoring to impact a match, which is a sign of him developing more as a footballer.

As long as they’re both of legal age, who cares. He can fuck who he wants.

Wouldn’t wanna be Spurs PR now though :LOL:
