Liverpool have been pretty flawless this year. If they continue like they've been playing for the rest of the season then they deserve to win the title.

If they falter, we may be in with a shout.
They've been far from fucking flawless. They've been luckier than any team I can remember.
Just off the top of my head:

Palace's keeper gifting them 2 goals last week.
Being completely toothless in the first half against Brighton and then getting a mindless penalty to save them.
Two fortuitous ricochets to put them in on goal when they were 0-1 down against Arsenal.
Two deflected goals against United.
Pickford gifting them a point blank winner in the 95th minute.
Mahrez missing a penalty for City.
Getting battered by Chelsea for most of the game and then Sturridge scoring a worldy from nowhere to save a point.
Vorm gifting them 2 goals at Wembley.

And that's not even factoring how lucky they've been to not lose their star players to injury for any real amount of time. Allison, Van Dijk and Salah have played nearly every minute in the league this year.

If they continue like they've been playing for the rest of the season but their luck finally runs out, they won't win the league. Given them a similar injury crisis that we've had to deal with, they'll finish 3rd.

This is kind of heartbreaking between Poch and the club we are not interested in grabbing a chance at achieving success. We are only 7 points off Liverpool who are not playing well and just 2 points behind City. Why aren't we taking a chance on loans for six months. I just don't get it.. it makes a mockery of our moto as what we are doing is the opposite of "to dare is to do" why is our great club just rolling over and probably handing the title Liverpool without even a fight.
Who did you want to loan?

My theory:

- were going to get our best players back over the next month or so.
- we’re out of the cups so will be able to get some rest into players.
- there is noise that the stadium might be ready for the last few games - I reckon it will give us a massive lift getting back home again, rather than there being a transition period.

Summary: change the thread title ?

There is no way this thread title is going to be changed because the minute we do, well you know what'll happen................The same as last time, it all went tits pretty quickly.

Plus lose or draw one game and the more knee-jerk among you will be calling for it to be changed back again (the same as last time) and you all know it :D

West Ham have had 2 crap performances in a row. Every chance they will step up on Monday. Arnautovic needs to play.

I want us to be within touching distance when we play them then BAM - hammer them in front of their Kop... Imagine the tears

If Carlsberg made football matches...

To genuinely think we have a chance of winning a title race, you’d have to think we’ll win at both Anfield and the Etihad, because that’s what we’d most likely have to do to win it.

This team currently has too many weaknesses to do that even with Kane and Dele back. God bless them for being in it at this stage though. They’re bloody magnificent.

they have drawn at home to Chelsea, and beat Arse and Manure but if there is one club I'd never trust it would be Spam

They have the mighty Samir Nasri now.

think he is a doubt, they must some horny bitch (apologies lady members) working in their physio department because it's busier than ours:cautious:

I just think we haven’t been defending well enough this season and can’t see us winning both those games because of it. Plus Poch doesn’t know how to go into a game trying not lose, we go out to win every game.

I'd not even change it if we was leading by 4pts with 1 game to go, something would happen lose the last and get a points deduction:cautious:

I agree the defending has not been good enough for a side trying to win a title but having lost wanyama and dembele sitting in front of the back four the protection afforded the defence has been severely limited.

If we had Kane and Alli fit, or at least returning in a a week or so, I think I’d be pretty relaxed about Top 4.

But the club said they are only going to return to training at the start of next month, which most likely means being on the pitch and back up to speed after the March international break.

We’re basically playing pretty poorly right now and have scraped through three pretty easy games with 3 wins.

We need that buffer. If we play like this against Leicester, Arse or Chelsea we will lose.

I am hoping that the week off next week will help to rest and freshen up/get up to speed the likes Eriksen, Son and Moura. Because we have tougher tests ahead and we definitely can’t play like we have and expect to win those games.

I know there's a lot of uncertainty with what will happen in the summer but there are a few players who next season I'm so excited to see kick on after a good pre-season and I think they'll elevate their games.

Winks who has had 2 seasons of finishing with injury issues followed by pre-seasons plagued with injuries, I hope he can make it through this season, get a decent rest and have a great Pre-season.

Sanchez who hasn't had a break in 2 years since before he was at Ajax. Kane and Dele who had fuck all break are a given but the person I'm most excited about is Son. The guy has been immense and he has had 2/3 seasons with us which have been interrupted by different olympic games, asian cups and he's had the weight of military service on his shoulders. The guy is looking superb even though mentally he must be exhausted and frankly it is scary what he might be able to achieve next season after a nice long rest. I'll probably be putting a nice bet on him being POTY.

Although it is all somewhat bitter-sweet, we have had an amazing season. We are so close. Victories against wolves and utd would see us 1 point behind pool. When you think of the injuries and the stadium situation, that is astounding.

I believe that we are perhaps 3 quality signings away from dominating this league and being in realistic contention for the champions league. We are that good. A right back, a creative deep centre mid and a back up striker. That is all that we need.

Have a look at Kane training video in America somewhere. He is flying already. Arsenal game easy.

I saw the video.

With ankles you have to be very careful. Twisting/turning and kicking at speed will come later in his rehab, before he even is considered for a return to full training with the first team squad.

Also, each time Kane has come back it’s taken him at least a few weeks to get back to his level.

Not trying to be negative but we have to be realistic and without those two guys we’ve done so well at getting the result when playing pretty badly.

Fingers crossed he’s back sooner than predicted. We are going to need him.

Spurs Vs Liverpool pre Anfield match
Spurs: Leicester h Burnley a Chelsea a Arsenal h Southampton a Palace h // Liverpool: West Ham a Bournemouth h United a Watford h Everton a Burnley h Fulham a

Not much in it tbh. Plus for us is the Chelsea game comes at the end of a gruelling run of games for them. If we can keep gap at 5/6 pts and beat them then it’s massively game on with 6 to play.
