There's a difference between disappointment and abusing the players you're meant to be supporting. That atmosphere really does not help us one bit. Not only would we be better off but things would also be much more enjoyable if we got behind the team rather than going apeshit at them for daring not to do well in every game.
I think we're all entitled to go apeshit based on that second half performance. There was no excuse for the drop off in performance or effort. Did they just think they could walk that one based on the first half? Arrogance or poor mentality, it was one or the other for sure.

What a collapse in form. We're in danger of falling away completely unless we arrest this decline. It's very disappointing, we should be able to put lower half teams away.
The only possible upside is that now we've got our rivals breathing down our necks we will pull ourselves together and start playing like the good team we can be. Also the fact that we've got a really, really difficult game next might improve to focus too.

Not sure if serious, but to add the away days are better as well...

You watch levy increase prices next season regardless of where we finish, it might sound plastic but I’m not paying champions league prices for Europa league football...will just do away games.

I was probably one of the most vocally upset people about the prices. I'd have been fully up for more criticism of the club on that regard. I think they're a disgrace. But it's got zero to do with the players who've just played that match for us, or Pochettino for that matter.

The away games are definitely more fun now unfortunately. Way too many in the home crowd who 'support' us when we're 3-0 up in the Champions League but ain't interested otherwise.

So do you actually have some proof that Levy was not going to spend last two transfer Windows? And even if he didn't, it has absolutely nothing to do with like today or against Burnley.
Of course it has something to fucking do with it. How can having better players not have anything to do with results???
So you're implying Levy offered Poch a massive war chest to improve the team but Poch just declined? Sounding very Arsenal like. Remember Wenger saying same shit.

Our fans at the game deserved it also, thinking about it.

1-0 up on about 70 mins, but a torturous second half throughout. They decide that's the moment to taunt the opposition that they're going down. Like fuck we were in any position to taunt them at that point.

our fans really do piss me off at times like that, same when we sing ''your'e fucking shit'', when the game is in the balance

It's so shit going into such a long break with a loss and a feeling of freefalling down the league. Gonna be 3 looooong weeks. Another lazy performance by everyone

I’m quite looking forward to not having to watch us play to tell you the truth!

100% honestly not trolling. I'm dead serious. Some of those matches with the "1882" movement, singing for 90 minutes without it being a disaster if we didn't win, seeing players break through and eventually make a real mark in the other tournaments. They've been fantastic moments for me.

It's just a difference in expectation. I expect to go to a game and enjoy it. Some people inexplicably expect the club that's won two titles and not a single European Cup in their 137 year history to be winning such things right now, and go mental if we perform literally a rung below that. Only enjoying yourself if we're the best team in the world winning the biggest honours has never been what Tottenham's about, and if everybody thought like that we simply would not have survived the 90s and early 2000s.

Lol.

I know you’re desperate to put a positive spin on this collapse, but pretending you’d be happy to see us throw away a massive lead on Arsenal and Chelsea for the opportunity to see our second string play Qarabag, or Bate Borisov in our two thirds empty, brand new stadium is stretching things just a smidge.

In the long run if we want to achieve sustained success we have to spend
like the other top teams. With rare exceptions the teams that win the big
trophies are the richest ones.

I think most of us knew that deep down this run of ours was never sustainable.
We simply spend nowhere near what is required on either transfers or wages.

With a stadium to pay off this is unlikely to change any time soon.

Think 3 weeks off is huge, actually. Let this simmer, they should be embarrassed. Hopefully they use it to light a fire under their asses.

And honestly. I love us being in the Champions League. But is it the end of the world if we are in the Europa next season? Of course not. Some of my favourite games have actually been in the Europa. Young players on the pitch. Great support with no particular pressure or expectations on us. Kane's first appearances and hat-trick, Lamela's rabona, Bale's free-kicks, Dembele's winner in Lyon. Hopefully we're in the UCL - and I still make us strong favourites for it, because a season is 38 games rather than 4 - but if we're not I'll still be there, having fun and supporting Spurs. Who knows - maybe it'll be the stage where Jack Roles, Troy Parrott or Samuel Shashoua becomes the next big thing for us. That's the fantastic side of football.
Give it a rest now mate eh. The righteousness is just ridiculous. You want to be the barometer for calmness and you're looking a bit silly to be fair.

Troll is very apt tbf. You sound like you would be happy to finish mid table as long as you enjoy the football.

Lets play a little game which underlies half the problem imo.
Pick the starting 11 and formation for the next game.
I'll bet nobody gets it right.

Another greedy performance by kane . Should have stuck with the llorente and son link up until we became unstuck

Instead we put kane straight in and have become hugely unstuck

They were singing you’re going down. Well, they are the ones leaving with egg on their faces after that second half display.

People ask why other clubs/fans don't like us, this is an example of the explanation I get. Chippy ****s basically who crow at the slightest signs of success before they've ever got a job done. At 70 mins that game was never won, yet on and off the pitch it seems like we were taking it for granted.
