Win win.. either have him as backup or sell for $
More like Draw/Win

We can't use him now - unless we commit to keeping him all season. And it sounds like we are not committed to doing that, and his role as a back up starting in February is a lot less useful.

I did say after he had played about 4 times for us I thought he was overated and I couldnt see what all the clamour on here was about, people just overlooked the things he was doing poorly. He put in a couple of decent crosses but could not defend.

He is one of those players that we just need to move on. Treat him as a loss and just find him a new home for his career, for the squad as a whole too

It annoys me that we'd loan him out again (unless there's an obligation).

He's our second best left-back as is. Sure, let him go for the fee and the squad management, but make his agent put in a shift and get a permanent move!

Don't see the sense in letting his contract wind down further AND not even have him available for us AND have it all over again in the summer.

Well, it's clear Ange doesn't rate him and thinks sessegnon is our second best left back

And what if his agent cannot get him a move. We are stuck with a player, and a wage, that Ange doesn’t want. It might impress on him that he needs to get a move in the summer.

Understand the frustration but he has played around 700 league minutes in the last two seasons.

When he was fit at A Madrid and United he wasn't first choice. If he can be first choice at Brentford and do well (Rico Henry out for the season) then we could get a decent fee which isn't likely in January.

Strange for L'equipe to get an exclusive on a Spanish player going from one prem team to another. Hoping it's true as no one's going to buy him this month so loan best we'll be able to do

He won't be able to play that inverted role.

He is a high flying wing back/full back but lacks the technical close control/inteligent positioning to play the role effectively.

He needs space to run into and whip crosses in.

He played regularly during preseason so I’m sure Ange saw enough to think that Ben Davies is our 2nd best left back.
