United fans think it’s a loss from
What I’ve read they think he was one of the few players who gave a shit

on
The plus side he will be back fit and ready. I’m guessing we could sell him if we don’t play him ?

As cover for a marauding LB, we could do a hell of a lot worse. Not sure he'll suit the inverted role, but at least he's fit

I'd give Ange a chance to have a look at him in the next couple of weeks.

Maybe start him against Burnley.
Isn't it a limit that if he does then he cant play for another side this season so would have to stay with us? Like Scarlett after playing for us v Fulham. If Ange wasn't keen then he'd be doing nothing which isnt great for anyone

As others have said, it's an area we need better cover in. Davies is dependable but not really the attacking threat of Udogie, and theoretically Reguilon should be able to provide that element.

Just a question of whether Ange has already made his mind up on him. If he has then fair enough let's move him on.
Completely agree although given he was sent on loan it seems Ange has made his mind up on him perhaps but I'm with you as a mauriding LB in theory he'd be better than Davies but I suppose Davies is more solid defensively and now knows the system well so it depends what Ange is looking for.

Personally, I’d rather Ben every day of the week… but that’s just me.

Sounds like United could be hamstrung in terms of spending this transfer window so they're probably looking at loans, hence why they're getting rid of Reggie to free up a space. It's not because he's been bad, also not pulled up any trees

Would make much more sense to me if we loaned our Gil ahead of Reguillon. Sergio can at least cover two positions (LB/LW) and has shown that he's capable of handling himself in the league.

Gotta get rid. No point keeping him. Doesn't fit the system. Hopefully he can find a suitable club in January and wish him the best.

To be fair in pre-season Reguillon left some huge holes allbeit against Barcelona, I think that and training and another match I think it was was probably enough evidence for Ange to say thanks but no thanks and go for Udogie and Davies as his 2 for that position this season so I doubt Reguillon coming back in Jan will change his mind especially with how solid Davies has been at LCB if Udogie is out and we have cover at CB then Ben more than deserves some gametime in his favoured position and thinking about it overall I probbaly prefer Davies there too as he knows the system, is good defensively and positionally and we've seen under Poch that Davies is perfectly capeable going forwards.

That being said I've always liked and rated Sergio and he seems a really good lad but it might just not work out for him under Ange.

If someone is going to buy him then sell sell sell, same goes for:

Dier, Tanganga (option already there), Spence, Rodon, Ndombele, Hojbjerg (if a replacement is ready) & Gil (if Jota signs)

If we start him on Friday we can’t sell him or loan him this window. If the manager liked the look of him he would’ve sanctioned a loan to Utd

I'd actually forgotten about this, which does complicate matters.

It would only be for 6 months though.

It sounds like the decision has been made already so if Ange doesn't want him then so be it.

Left back is an area we need to look at though.

If the rumoured Jota loan happens, makes sense for SR to head out again

Not sure we can afford him taking up a non homegrown spot. With VdV almost back a new CB looking likely I think we'll be ok now with Davies to cover along with Emerson.

I wonder if we leave LB alone for a year or so.

Not sure that we will extend Davies, but he can probably play the inverted LB role for another year - at least as a back-up.

It's going to be tough to find a solid LB back-up, or even competition, though - given Udogie's position at the club. Not many players will be willing to come in with a 21-yo starter already in place.
